Hi and thanks first of all always interesting vídeos. I have a question if I can: which bank allows up to 80 years adi haver heart of it? I have a mortgage for my permanent residency apt bought in Albufeira in 2021, I got until 75 YO, I am a retired italian and under NHR

I forgot I had a mortgage with Santander and was 59 but it is until my 75, no 80 YO… thanks

Hi Laura, did you get a fixed rate or variable mortgage? If you got a fixed rate one, then you probably wouldn't get a better monthly rate even by extending by the extra 5 years since the Euribor rates have increased since 2021. If you are on a variable mortgage, then with or without the age extension, it might be worth getting in touch with Mortgage Direct to see if they can improve your rate and terms.
