Desire or thirst exists because we do not have a sense of true values it make what is less valuable for what is more valuable what is less real for what is more real the true nature is very important

The Lord Buddha says that the cause of all sorrow is craving the thirst which exists in each one of us in a number of different forms and think have conquered this thirst in one shape it arises in another form

I’ve been thinking about this a lot. As a former Christian, the answer given for the problem of evil was simply that it was our fault, meaning it was Adam and Eve’s fault. But in the book of Isaiah, God says I create light AND darkness, good AND evil. Indeed in Job, it’s God who makes Job suffer and not for any good reason, just because he wants to for whatever reason. Even though I don’t believe in that version of God anymore, I still feel like whatever form of God exists doesn’t really care about us much. Far from being the pinnacle of creation, we are just one species among many in a long chain of evolution. If it was all just a game, why go through this long process of suffering to get here? Could God have just created the Virtual reality headset for us to play in without the suffering? I guess I don’t buy that it’s all for some glorious purpose to be revealed in the end. I’d like to believe it, but the evidence seems contrary to that. And just being really honest, I’m not sure I like the vision of God that I see. But yet I’m still drawn to look for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

I love this comment and could have written it myself because I feel the exact same way about it. I have absolutely no use for any 'God' whatsoever, and don't care for knowing anything about it. I like the Buddhist notion that life is suffering and here's how to liberate yourself. They don't care about any creator God or questions like why or how, and I like that, even if I don't agree with them on anatta and a few other things that make no sense to me which Sanāthana Dharma answers better.

The only solution to the problem of evil is it's Brahman alone who has become all of us. Sri Ramakrishna on being beseeched by his disciples to speak to the Divine Mother regarding his illness tried to do so and found that the Divine Mother had taken permanent residence in him, so to him asking her was as bizarre as asking himself. And we're all in a precisely similar situation, God is within us and so blaming God is akin to blaming ourselves. It's similar to wallowing in self loathing on having done something egregious, and not realising that such a thing has been existing forever and we are simply going through the motions. This universe is eternal and it's pointless to ask why such and such a thing takes place, whatever takes place has not only been existing forever it's actually an expression of Brahman. Now one might ask why did Brahman choose to express himself in this strange way, and the answer to that is Brahman is beyond the w questions that afflict his creation, the why's, the how's and the rest. So asking this question is a category error of the generic kind. However if one still persists one can offer the answer that perhaps Brahman was bored of existing in his pristine unsullied state throughout his life and hence created this universe as a playground to sport with Kali the Divine Mother. But this presupposes that Brahman is subject to time and causation, but from the eternal point of view this really doesn't make sense. From the eternal point of view Brahman has been existing as this universe forever and all these questions are moot.
