In this video, Julia Lambeth DipWSET explains how to use WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting® (SAT) to assess the quality of a wine.
Tasting is an important part of all WSET courses. Across all our wine qualifications, students are expected to analyse the appearance, nose and palate of the wine in increasingly greater amounts of detail. From Level 2 and above, students are also expected to make a judgement on quality.
This session will look at the different elements involved in deciding on the quality level of a wine, and the common challenges students face in identifying quality.
The session is aimed people starting the Level 2 or Level 3 Award in Wines courses or anyone would like to know more about how to evaluate wines.
