Explaining how each of the midi mix functions work on the SD Series. To help those better understand how to save-recall volumes.
So here is a video explaining in more detail the Midi Mix option in the functions and the Save Midi Mix option in Preferences. They both need to be understood to effectively know how to save-recall Midi Volumes.
1. Save Midi Mix option in Preferences - must be enabled if you want to save volumes to the midifile. If not enabled, volumes are not saved to the file.
2. Midi Mix option in media - functions - when not enabled, the player will load the midi file and use the volumes that have been saved to the file. If enabled - then the player will ignore the saved volumes in the midi file and use the current positions of the slides on the front panel for the initial volume settings.

I’m not keen on joining Facebook. is there any other way to access the technical information available on Facebook? Your tutorials are Most instructive for those of us plying our trade on the SD7 and up and their technical aspects. Thank you very much for the time and effort it takes to inform us as to many aspects of the unit that aren’t explained clearly enough in the manual. Do you respond to inquiries? Such as by email?

I have to say you’re missing a lot by not participating in the Facebook group on the technical and operational aspects of the Ketron SD series units. I’m not a Facebook user and I certainly don’t use it to friend anyone but I do use it to participate in a few groups that are music related to her important to me with the Ketron group being one of them. It’s completely up to you but I would consider creating an account and only using the account to access this particular group because it is well worth while there is much information and many questions and answers are asked and provided on this group.
