Shock, fear, and anxiety accompany a neuroendocrine tumor diagnosis. On top of the emotional response comes cognitive confusion. A blizzard of medical terms, complicated tests, and different classifications may start flying around during every doctor's visit. What's the difference between tumor grade, stage, and site? And why do they matter?
See neuroendocrine tumor experts from around the U.S. explain what these complicated terms mean.

Mines was discovered in my pancreas which metastasis on every organ except lung but looking at me you wouldn't even think I have cancer. My mission is to offer hope to those who where given a poor prognosis like me. I cried for six months after my diagnosis then I confined to my Beautiful powerful God and he produced a miracle. I was given months but I'm six year in God is Able.

Update: I was stable for two years recently relapsed. My PRRT will be giving a second round, 4/26. Hopefully, it will be slowed down again.

Even though this video is over a year old, I feel the need to thank you for making it. I'm 18 years old and in August of this year (2019) I was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour on my appendix. By the time they found it, they had already removed it because I had had a appendectomy about a month prior due to an appendicitis. I was lucky because it was found very early - only grade 1 and well differenciated but it was still very scary to hear the word tumour being pronounced and I didn't really know what it meant. A month later (September) I did a second surgery, a parcial colectomy, because it was agreed between my doctors that it was the best way to make sure they had removed every little bit of the tumour and monday this week I got the results back and I'm clean. Now I will be followed by a doctor every six months in an oncology specialized hospital. This video really helped me after my diagnosis because it helped me understand what it was and what it all meant. Thank you a lot for posting it.

@@malena7362 my wife has passed away last june. I think that chemotheraphy got her condition much worse. She got chemotheraphy in January 30th, made her stay in bed for three weeks, and barely walk after that. I think that the docters didn't cure or make her in better condition, but made her suffer more. I don't believe in medic anymore.

@@malena7362 yes, it is net. My wife got several treatment, two miss diagnostic that lead to two surgeries on several organs. After the second surgery, the doctor found some mass in her intestines. That's the cancer. It was in the end of january 2020, we found that she got 3D stage of net, and the surgeries was only treating the metastasis. I think that my wife didn't get precise treatment in from the doctors. We also go to non medic medicine, in my point of view, it works. But, the cancer just to fast, the chemotheraphy speed it up. I'm sorry to tell you this kind of story.

My one found is free floating, not in an organ. I have a PET scan in two weeks. My tumor is grade 2. Can there be multiple in the body at once? Or is it usually just one?
