In Undertale Red & Yellow, we are joined by the spirit of Chara and Clover as they comment on many things throughout the journey! This mod attempts to tie Undertale and Undertale Yellow together through them.

@@tpfoxCastro grass is always greener. Considering we know so little about Frisk, who knows if Asriel is even valid in thinking Frisk is that great. Despite it all, I do like how Asriel talks like that. It’s a serious flaw of his that shows off his severe naivety as well. Also his hypocrisy. He’s a deeply flawed character, just like his parents. Tho unlike Asgore and Chara, doesn’t get called out on it.

Every Dreemurr is very problamatic and it's fine, everyone has their flaws. But the people just look at the ones that the game said "look at it" and just don't see anything that is not extremely obvious (which is odd for a game that uses subtletly so much)

It's rare to see people acknowledge that, even though Chara literally says the reason they realized that the purpose of their reincarnation was to gain power was thanks to the player's guidance. Like it says it RIGHT THERE in the game. Wild.

@@citriosis Even more surprising is people often forget Chara saying: ¨Interesting, you want to go back to the world YOU destroyed, It was YOU who pushed the world to its edge, it was YOU who led the world to its destruction, but you cannot accept it, you think you are above CONSEQUENCES¨ after the world is erased by Chara, like the whole point of the genocide route is about there being consequences to your actions, subverting expectations of players resetting in all games with their actions being forgotten like nothing ever happened, and ironically enough, people blamed this confused dead kid with a green lime-striped shirt for murder spreeing mostly all the monsters in the entire underground even though they the players were the ones who chose to literally kill everyone, meanwhile Chara over here was just following along with what you were doing, cause kids are young and impressionable.

i mean. to be fair, flowey probably does view clover as a friend to some extent. he said 'see you later, friend' (or something to that effect, i haven't seen that scene in a minute so forgive me if it's not word for word) to clover as they were dying from giving up their soul, and reassured them that he wouldn't reset their efforts, which there would be no point in doing if he just wanted to manipulate them (clover was dying and flowey didn't think they'd come back, and they wouldn't remember this moment if he reset anyways). then again, it could just be that clover's sacrifice was reminding flowey of chara poisoning themself, and his gesture of 'empathy' was out of old sentimentality instead of any actual friendship between him and clover, but y'know.

One thing I really love about this mod so far is how Chara develops. Where in Pacifist you see them becomng more resentful for their actions as well as generally being less stoic. Whereas in Geno, Chara slowly becomes more and more dominant the farther you go. It really slots in well with the base game.
