I really like that despite the orchestral feel, there's no over-reliance on elements like heavy brass to make the song feel more "dramatic". Focusing on more of a string-fueled arrange keeps the feeling of the original much better while also giving the tune a whole new light.

The use of the violin is positively gorgeous. I didn't expect much from this piece, as I thought the digitized chiptune quality was integral to its sound, but you proved me wrong. Very enjoyable. Maybe the best of all of your Undertale covers. Consider me a new fan.

The strings were a great fit for this song. I wasn't expecting it in the intro and it honestly sounds great.

Somehow this remix makes me remember those RPG games I've played on PS1 and SNES, like Grandia, Chrono Trigger, Valkyrie Profile, like a intense music before a tough boss.

This is honestly my favorite cover of this song. I feel like the core was a big changing point in the game! This version really captures the urgency felt while the player is powering though, encountering, and figurining out where to go.

Malcolm's always been a master of machine environments. He showed it with Undersea Palace and he's sure as hell gonna show it here! I do think this cover relies a bit too much on strings, but I can't complain when it's all backed but such wonderful industrial percussion. I do think the woodwinds during the chorus part would have a much better contrast with brass but, it does seem to be a trend among orchestral composers here to prefer strings for the meat of the songs so it's to be expected. Plus the strings are excellent at portraying the intricacies that synths have. But yeah, honestly there's not much more I can say about the song, I've already said a lot before and really it just comes down to perfectly envisioning what Toby was going for, especially its origins in Chrono Trigger, and giving it the grand performance it deserves!

I love the inclusion of the sounds of metal clanking in the background, like in your cover of Undersea Palace from Chrono Trigger! I also like the use of a Cello for the rhythm, it fits nicely very nicely for the melody.

Wow! This is soo amazing on so many levels. I love how you incorporate the strings and the runs and glissandos are INCREDIBLE! I already loved CORE and thought the song was a bit underrated, but this blew my mind and made me love it so much more. I the smallest critique/advice for you: at places like 0:46 where you have trill, I think it would sound better and more natural to have a grace note with the two notes instead of the trill, because I think fits more by putting the stress/accent/focus on the last note, while Bonetrousle works really well with trills (and is really fun to play on the violin) Thanks & keep up the good work!

Wow... This is amazing. I wish I could play a string instrument, but I gave up on viola years ago.. I love its sound, but it's just not entertaining for me to play. My primary instrument is the bass clarinet, on which I can play Your Best Friend, Temshop/Dogsong, Spear of Justice, Battle Against a True Hero, His Theme, Hopes and Dreams/Save the World, and Snowdin Town, and currently am working on Heartbreak, Bonetrousle, Death by Glamour, and Megalovania.

This is amazingly underrated, and deserves way more views. Incredible orchestration! This is definitely in my bookmarks.

Please don't hate me for this, but this is kinda what I pictured in my head when I heard for the first time, maybe in a flashback or something I could draw in a comic. I dunno, i'm just an Undertale fan with a HUGE love of the characters, story, and most of all: the music. (The person who did this cover is AMAZING!) So, for your reading pleasure (or not. It's up to you!), here I go... *A lone monster is running through the lab, loosing his footing and slamming his side against a nearby wall as the building experiences yet another massive tremor, and pieces begin to fall from the ceiling. his greatest invention, the CORE has begun to malfunction, and if he doesn't do something soon, the blasted machine could explode, and take the lab, everyone inside, and possibly the entire Hotland with it. His two youngest employees (his apprentice, a young monster by the name of Alphys, and a rather...odd young skeleton named sans.) have already begun evacuations. The younger skeleton insisted that the royal scientist come with them, but Gaster knew exactly what he had to do. Just a little longer, and he'd be at the heart of the machine. He could stop this...he could FIX this... ....But at what cost?*

I keep coming back to listen to this, it's so good. CORE doesn't need electronic/synth instruments to sound awesome. You've proven that. ^^
