It is interesting to see that Flowey really finished his promise. Even as a literal souless flower that constantly tries to mess stuff up he still has SOME degree of morality to keep his word, specially after knowing that you are actually capable of killing him even with the souls (Which kinda confirms that he truly has DETERMINATION enough to see through timelines like a player, which makes sense as he is an Amalgama of Asriel's dust and a Golden Flower, and it's not just a power that was granted to him by the souls (He saves and messes up stuff outside of the game during OMEGA))

well in reality, he didn’t. he still destroyed Asgore’s soul and prevented the protagonist from leaving the underground once more, as he does in every neutral playthrough. his actions don’t come from morality either, rather from boredom. he’s intrigued to watch you struggle to spare each monster and fascinated by the idea of a new variable interacting with his environment. he understands the mechanics of the game (as seen in the True Pacifist Asriel Fight) to mean if the protagonist left the underground, they wouldn’t be able to play with Flowey anymore. so he does everything in his power to prevent you from going to the surface.

@pikarizardcharikachu25732 жыл бұрын
I tell you what. Suicide Asgore shouldn't have been a secret detail in the game, IF AND ONLY IF you play this game SUPER BLIND and free of spoilers. The real gameplay should have been: Blind Neutral (some killing. Toriel should have been your soft roadblock here in the REAL BLIND playthrough and had forced you into killing her, since she is intentional to be hard and the repeating spare mechanic to be not obvious until the next reset, in which, an extra dialogue is added.), Learned Neutral (no killing, and witness Asgore's Suicide), Pacifist (you start befriending.), blind genocide (you didn't grind, since that one is also a hidden mechanic, so you just killed everyone that crossed your path. sans will say you could do better, so you did) and finally Genocide (The start of discovering the grind mechanic). But you see, in the old times, the community demanded the youtube streamers to avoid killing in-the-get-go (which means spoiling them about the mechanics) to "make things convenient for them and avoid the full reset grind". In the Undertale fandom, they thought they are just helping, but outside the Fandom, the fandom is viewed as toxic to the streamers. Best example? The curious Markiplier. it should have been a real BLIND playthrough if the community allowed him to be curious, since he's the BEST at it. But no, they "helped" him, which obviously turned out bad. Thanks to this, the majority only knew 3 categories: Neutral, Pacifist, and Genocide ending, since they thought everything else are just "variants". But little did only realize, that "Variants" is also a category of it's own. It's the blind playthrough's learning phase. But alas, it's already too late. Now that the hype has died down, the only real blind playthrough that I know of today is one from Alan Becker, creator of Animator vs Animation series, on his second channel. Sure, he didn't get the suicide Asgore phase, but he still did the full reset (not to be confused with the real/true reset) that most of the streamers avoided of during the hype times. Lesson to learn here? Let your favorite streamers play. More content would have gone more public if people avoided from "helping" them. Spoilers are called spoilers for a reason you know.

Sparing Toriel isn't really that hard or secret, even on a blind playthrough. Undertale was marketed as "An RPG where no one has to die!"; Toriel herself tries to teach you to win battles non-violently before testing you; and I can't remember offhand if it was a passive enemy or a sign, but something in the Ruins hints that there are times where you can Spare someone even if their name isn't yellow. Knowing any of those facts, it's fairly intuitive game logic to try Spare a couple times, and continue trying once you realize it's doing something because Toriel's expression and dialogue changes.
@undervoices71272 жыл бұрын
@@BrassCole Some people still attacked her because they thought she wasn't going to let them pass. She tells you to either attack her or go back. So, some thought that if they did enough damage she'd let them go. "No one has to die" doesn't necessarily mean "No one gets the crap beat outta them".

What if Flowey was right? I mean, Undertale choices being a mere illusion? There were no choice at all? When you just natually finish the game, Flowey gives you idea of the Pacifist. After Pacifist he "warns" you about not ruining this ending. This leads to Genocide. And Genocide leads to giving your SOUL away to Chara. It always was only the one ending, don'tcha? @@GhostVolume What is *your* point? The neutral and pacifist endings aren't ending because you can reset the game? Therefore the choices that the game gives you are an illusion? By that definition, no book or film has an ending because you can read or watch it again if you want to. Suppose that the genocide route didn't have permanent consequences for your copy of the game. Would Undertale then have no ending? At the end of a pacifist route, everyone's character arcs are resolved. Every plot thread is tied up. That is an ending to the story, and you choose whether to get a different one or decide that you are done with the game. I remember getting this in my third playthrough after doing a True Pacifist and Hard Mode! My third playthrough was a neutral and I spared Flowey, so in the next playthrough (In which I done another Ture Pacifist, to see Sans' room) Flowey appeared at the start and instead of attacking just said "Remember, don't kill anyone!"

If I understood the question correctly, then the answer would be that he didn't go on a date with papyrus and undyne, so he wouldn't get the undyne phone call to deliver the letter and... You know the rest

@reillywalker1952 жыл бұрын
To get access to the True Lab, you need to befriend or date Papyrus as well as befriend Undyne and date Alphys. If you do all of that but then _don't_ enter the True Lab, Flowey will give you a hint after you defeat Asgore that your "date" with Alphys wasn't over after she fled the dump.

I dont believe that flowey actually is meant to be a bad person (or should i better say flower XD) cos here, he tries you to make friends plus in genocide he tries to stop you from the run. Still tho he tries his best to be a bad character. Thats why i like flowey :)
@DomiDsLP2 жыл бұрын
Well, for what's worth, he just wanted to get everyone to the perfect place to become you know who again. And to achieve this, he used the player to make all appear in one place through friendship.

If you think about it Flowey kills people because of how the undertale world works. He does not have a soul and in extension compassion but he can still gain LOVE imstead which would give him a feelinh to kill. LOVE+0compasion=a feeling thats all flowey wanted violent or not but since that primarily is his only feeling he wants more and more. But with a soul with and some convincing he isnt really evil just unable to feel anything else. Wait is flowey a dont do drugs message.

See Chara wasn’t so bad if Asgore thinks Frisk resembling them is a good thing. It’s worth noting that Asgore doesn’t even recognise Frisk as being human in genocide

I'm confused as to why Flowey still breaks Asgore's soul and absorbs the human souls in this ending. The outcome will be the same except monsters will have lost the human souls. I'm guessing it's simply so that Toby isn't forced to write many more endings about what would happen if the humman souls didn't disappear, but in the story all Flowey is doing is getting rid of the souls for no reason. Why?

So in short this ending is Deltarune, In short, even if we try and have Determination, we are still nothing without the help of others, Look at Spamton, He had all the Determination, he became a demi-god just to lose to 3 kids, Even if we try with all our might, even if we have all the power and best intentions, we still cannot change the world without others, it sounds depressing at first glance, But it is not, it shows our human nature, as individuals capable of nothing, but together in unity, There is no force that can stop us, Even God, or Death itself, humanity laughs in the face while still digesting, Still existing, This is the message of Undertale and Deltarune
