I used to do the wall dancing glitch to increase the number of steps I was taking while grinding in the genocide route.

I would say that a game as polished as undertale has glitches, but then again, EVERY game has one glitch or another.

There used to be a bad game-breaking glitch in the first version of the game. If I remember correctly it happened when you first get to Alphys' lab. If you interacted with the "bathroom door" at the wrong time as I think Alphys is trying to start dialogue the game freaks out and stops working. For proof of this, find gameplay of that scene in Undertale, then load up your game and notice that the location of the door has been shifted significantly.

I think I have an explanation for the walking into the wall glitch. You see, if you hold up and down while away from a wall, no matter in what order you press it, up overrides down, so I believe that the game realizes you can't go up any further, so lets you go down, then up overrides it again, so it goes up again, causing the visual glitch.

There’s a glitch in the ruins with the broken floor room where you can’t fall on leaves where if you can squeeze between cracks, it can make the holes you made disappear and you won’t fall through any cracked tiles unless you leave the room and come back

The papyrus ghost one had a really obvious explanation. In gamemaker, you have to put objects into the room for them to exist in that room, and that was where papyrus started. He couldnt make it so papyrus wasn't in the room unless he wanted to make an entirely different room, but he should have put papyrus in a spot the player would never see and teleported him into place when it was time.

I'd rather read the punch cards and skip all the text, Cuz i'm too lazy to re-read everything.

It may be exclusive to Switch edition, because that is what I play. In the Sans and Papyrus' house, open the tall sink cabinet to watch the funny scene with the annoying dog stealing a bone. Then, on the left-side wall of the kitchen, there is a counter, and interacting with it will cause Papyrus to say something. I can't remember what he says. Then, with near pixel-perfect timing, interact with the counter as you move into the sink cabinet, and the game will softlock. Softlock means you cannot perform a single action in the game, but the system you play it on is still able to be used (hardlock means the system itself is frozen, and it must be unplugged, or if its a mobile device, must run out of battery). This is because you are still technically talking to Papyrus, which is when you cannot move. But, since you moved to a different room, you cannot progress the conversation, thus making you unmovable until the game is restarted. I somehow got it on accident, and wonder if it can be performed again....

Completely unrelated to the video, but I needed to find a good place to post a theory I came up with. I find it strange how the " but nobody came" came up to be a phrase so intertwined between Flowey and Chara. This theory had been pretty much proven, but some will argue for it be flawed. So if you don't find yourself in agreement with it, don't bother. Chara narates everything for you, and is also very familiar with the Underground, hence knows almost everything about it. So then, in Genocide, when you slay all the monsters inside an area, you would get the infamous message "but nobody came". Only to find out latter on on the run that Flowey says exactly the same thing, when he talks with you about how he first felt when he woke up as a flower. He yelled into the darkness for help, and "nobody came". But there's more. In the neutral run boss fight, when Flowey absorbs the 6 human souls and starts toying with you, he asks you to do the exact same thing. To call for help, knowing exactly that there was no one else there to come for you. He wanted you to feel the same desperation as he had. My theory is that Chara is also possesing soulless Asriel(aka Flowey) the same way he does you in the Genocide run. We know for a fact that Asriel waking up as a flower had happened before you appeared jn the Underground. So then who is to say that the part of Chara that influences you in Genocide, BUT also in Pacifist( when you get the flashbacks of the first humans fall, which couldn t be yours but Chara's) mellowed Asriel and made him free the monsters and the souls, doesn't also retain part of the memories of Flowey, since Chara also observes him. Do not forget that Asriels ashes were also "mixed" with Chara's soul. The ashes of monsters retain their essence. That is why the flower that was covered in his ashes woke up as Flowey, which is souless Asriel. So then these ashes ALSO retain part of Chara( which can be resurected with enough determination-akin to Flowey's creation!). And what do we know from Flowey? That when we appear in the Underground, he loses his ability to save. Which means that his maximum determination doesn t match up to yours. So he loses control of the timeline to you. That means he had genocide before plenty of times, but his determination was never enough to wake up Chara, as you do in Genocide. So he hadnt lost control of himself and the game like you do to Chara. So then no destruction of the timeline. Only you can resurrect Chara. What I am trying to say is that Chara says "but nobody came" with the same ammount of regret and sadness that Flowey had experienced, thus no red coloured font. And it being followed by abreviation points. It's like some kind of fuckery at the quantum level. Chara's soul that was present in Flowey suffered modifications due to what is experienced trhough Flowey, leaving marks on it that instantanously are felt onto the part of Chara's soul that is embeded on the ashes that are found on the grave. So thats why when you land on it, the same way you would gain love from the ashes on your hands after slaying the monsters, you gained Chara( through Asriel's ashes). Chara then narrates for you, and perhaps, because of the traumatic experience the "nobody came" phrase, resonated with it in the exact same moment you are alone. Chara is suffering through your Genocide initially, every time you slay all the monsters. You trigger them with something as traumatic to match. Kind of the same thing as when your hatred and the mad dummy's SOUL resonate, it makes them corporeal instantaneously. At thst very moment, the suffering you cause to Chara makes them resonate with Floweys sad experience and interlap. Don't forget your fall after when Undyne chased you. How traumatic is a fall for a child? The first human's fall resonated with yours and triggered a memory( Chara hearing Asriel's voice for the first time). This is an example of a memory from before Chara's death. Another traumatic experienced experience would be your death, duh. You get it now. Those are all examples from before the first human's fall. tl;dr as frisk at first in Pacifist and also as possesed frisk, you get hints of what Chara experienced before death and also after, while possesing Flowey

I once had monster kid glitch out from a corridor in waterfall while he was talking, and it looked SO HILARIOUS!

I just found a cool thing you can do with the wall walking glitch! In waterfall when you're with monster kid and you're in the part where theres a castle in the background, if you hold up and down while holding right you'll go SUPER FAST. I swear this is not a joke try it.

I might be the only one that has done this, but doing a no-save pacifist route (to the end of the neutral ending) after doing a near-genocide route (resetting before or after Sans) causes you to still have your genocide save file after you fight Flowey, except you will have Sans, Toriel, Undyne, and Papyrus in your menu screen despite having killed them in that save file.

Here's one that works on the latest version. If you talk to the Rock in the Ruins at the same time as getting an encounter, the game will glitch out, and in some cases, you'll have to reload.

Frisk: *presses third button* Alpyhs: *disintegrates*
