3:06 i dunno if its the actual reason, but my personal theory is that the DT extractor was designed to work with dead souls, which are effectively comatose. due to frisk being alive and concious, theyre able to resist its effects, and while they cant completely prevent the extraction, they can limit the amount of DT that gets extracted, due to the machine not being designed for what its being used for. just my thinking, no idea if thats actually true or not.
