So today we're speedrunning the true pacifist ending for Undertale. This is a very emotional journey, even if we mash through most of the dialogue

Just so everyone knows, there were some time saves I missed in my runs, so I didn't talk about them. For example, apparently you can speed up the Flowey fight slightly by hitting the FIGHT button at specific times, and do a reload trick after Asriel. There are probably some other one's as well, but this video is about how I did it, and I definitely recommend checking out the world record by @ShayyTV if you want to see the most optimal way.
What is Undertale True Pacifist?
The True Pacifist ending of Undertale is completely when you spare every single enemy in the game, and then defeat both Asgore and Flowey. Then you need to go back to finish up a few more things. These include:
Dating/Hanging Out with Papyrus
Hanging Out with Undyne
Giving Undyne's letter to Alphys and doing all of those dates.
Going into True Lab and completing it
My channel generally focuses on a more casual side of speedruns. With these videos I want to show off cool speedruns, explain how they work, and entertain. Hopefully you enjoy the content and maybe even take up speedrunning yourself, because it is truly a lot of fun!
This is considered the "true ending" of Undertale, because it leads to a happy conclusion and the complete credits.

Hey everyone, I hope you enjoyed the video! Undertale is one of my favorite games ever, so I'm excited that I got the chance to speedrun it finally I also just wanted to say that I made a mistake with not using the they/them pronouns for a few characters. This completely slipped my mind when writing my script and I'm very sorry for that. Next time I do another Undertale video, or any video in general, I will make sure to not make the same mistake

@@tory7280 Sparing him takes longer. First, the actual sparing takes a few tries, then the "flowey ran away" takes a few seconds, then he talks to you to try to point you the direction of the true ending. Basically, Flowey talks too much so he had to die lol

Considering how aware Sans and Flowey are suppose to be of the game itself, I can't stop laughing at the thought of Sans and Flowey just watching this child go in utter confusion as Frisk runs in full speed through the underground and skips everybody's dialogue. They probably had a hard time even keeping up with the kid.

Sans isn't aware he's in a game, just that resets are happening. Ironically it's Papyrus who is aware they're in a game since at the end of pacifist run he calls that ending "the worst possible ending" since it's the only ending where he doesn't get to be part of the royal guard, which is true since in other endings he gets to be a royal guard or dies.

Hi speezy, as i was trying to beat undertale i discovered that if u beat mettaton and go through the elevator, go back (assuming you have already done the undyne date) and go out of the core, you can deliver the letter and true lab early so u dont have to fight omega flowey and asgore! And skip straight to the asriel fight

Congrats on the run, enjoyed the video and how it explained a lot of the basics of this surprisingly complex run. A few inaccuracies and minor timelosses aside, very good run. I'm almost disappointed though, that my run was too fast to be close to yours on the leaderboard, I was looking forward to seeing my name at the end of the video lol GG and thanks for the fun vids

fun fact: the Asgore and Omega Flowey aren't actually a part of the True Pacifist Ending, and are instead the Neutral Ending, when Asgore gives you the options of Continue or Go Back, if you select Go Back you can go all the way back out of that area to do the stuff you would normally do after reloading after Omega Flowey's fight, which allows you to skip both fights, saving a lot of time. I found this on accident on my first playthrough when I had no food items at Asgore's fight (aside from the pie) and so I was gonna go to Burger Pants for some food items, but then I got a call from Undyne, which later led into the True Lab stuff like normal.

You can't do the pacifist ending without doing neutral first Since Flowey doesn't get the idea to use you until you beat him as Omega Flowey (and he remembers the fight even if you "go back")

You can't get True Pacifist Ending without doing a Netural Ending. If you beat Flowey then don't kill him, he will actually tell us about "better ending". Then he tells to go back to last save,(If you didn't kill anyone except Asgore) and befriend with someone.(Papyrus if you didn't meet him after battle, Undyne if you didn't meet her after battle, Alphys if you did all) Alphys dating is unaccessable on normal playthrough. You must beat flowey(not Genocide) 1 time to get the True Pacifist Ending, other way it will not work. You probably beat flowey I guess? btw I know this bc I struggled to get True Pacifist Ending for 6 hours when I played it first time lol

Easy speazy basically spoiled the plot of the game, but doesnt even TOUCH the surface of the secrets and the amazing sense of humour, so my advice, go play the game, do the same ending easy did, then, do the "secret" ending ;)

Theres actually a glitch in true lab where you walk to the fake save point (the lemon bread amalgamate) and skip it by walking to the top of it and circling around several times. You'll walk right through it which saves a couple minutes of time.

I honestly didn't expect you to do a Speedrun of Undertale. The genocide one is very luck based and also includes The true Heroin and the comedian, making it very hard as well Edit: I'm keeping the Heroine as as heroin. It was just a happy accident (thinking about it though, Undyne does have Alphys inject DETERMINATION into her.) And ik that Chara is talking about Snowdrake when she says the comedian. I wanted to name them something cool without spoiling the game for those who haven't played and want to. It was either the glass cannon or the comedian, and the comedian sounded a lot cooler than the glass cannon

He's actually patched Deltarune in response to a few speed strats - sometimes to make it harder, sometimes easier!

He made it easier to skip text in Deltarune, patched a speedrun glitch but added a way to do it consistently instead of it being frame perfect

i can't help but think of one Papyrus puzzle i saw in a different video: Papyrus says he's set up a completely random puzzle, with harmless and dangerous floor tiles in random locations. BUT... it always ends up with the harmless tiles in a perfectly horizontal line you can simply walk straight across!
