Hiya folks! I've heard requests for Asgore, but I kept putting it off because I didn't think I could pull off the acting, or that my voice wasn't deep enough, etc. But I decided...THE HELL WITH IT, why not give it a shot? So here you go, Goatdad in all his glory!
For those curious, I'm still compiling the footage from the livestreams to be uploaded (It's a whopping 10 hours of footage!) So please be patient folks, the whole video will come~

And the conversation during the tea session is just like “oh how are you today, enjoying the weather?” With like suble hints to still wanting to kill frisk. That sounds like such a toby thing to do tbh

I don't know why everyone dislikes Asgore. He is just a sad guy who lost his son and wife, and, in a way, his world. He wanted to kill the humans so he can free his kind and destroy humanity. All he wanted was revenge, because he was in a fit of anger.

Exactly. At first when I was doing a pacifist run, I was so upset with no way to spare, but as soon as I beat him and heard his backstory, I immediately felt so bad and only became more and more emotional as he went through his speech. As soon as I found it, I dashed over to the now-fixed mercy button without hesitation. Asgore really does have the 2nd most emotional impact out of all of the 6 boss characters. (Undyne would obviously be the victor for me) And then Flowey killed Asgore and I immediately yelled FUCK YOU FLOWEY!!!

Asgore just deeply reminds me of a more depressed Mufasa. An old, caring soul who is simply trying to do what is best for his people, but in turn is betrayed because of it. All he wants is to see his family again.

I appreciate all the constructive criticism, folks! I admit, my lower vocal range is somewhat limited, and Asgore is definitely not a character type I'm adept or experienced wityh. So it was a stretch for me, both vocally and for the acting. I wanted to really challenge myself, and perhaps I didn't hit every note as well as I could have. I appreciate everyone's honesty, and thanks all for reminding me that there are still so many things I can improve on as an actor!

+Timber Puppers I dunno if anyone ever said it like this: Honestly, I imagine Asgore sounding less like this and more like Mufasta. This sounds very similar to your Sans voice, which was dead-on for Sans. But Asgore isn't Sans. (Not saying this was intentional.)

I think he should be more sad with a little lower tone of voice when talking to Frisk. He's depressed and nervous. He doesn't really want to do this but he sees no other option so while he would sound like he's humming and having a good time? He's pretty much preparing for execution whether it is gonna be him thst dies or Frisk.

Amazing ASGORE voice acting! Trust me, I've only seen about 3 other people try this, and, I prefer your voice acting of it. I'VE TRIED SOOOO FRICKEN HARD TO MASTER A ASGORE VOICE But being a girl doesn't help much T_T

I like your voice for Asgore, and I'm actually quite happy you didn't change Flowey's voice. The reaso why I like your voice for Flowey so much, is because it's unique. EVERYONE does the "high pitched childishly sinister" type voice, but you? You went with a more deep menacing sound and that makes it different, but REALLY good! He sounds like a threat! Not knocking the other people, mind you. JackSepticEye also does a good Flowey voice, but I like yours as well!

If you killed flowey in the neutral run when the choice of Kill or mercy comes up, he won't show again the next time you play. Unless you decide to do genocide and he shows up anyway. With flowey gone, Asgore sacrifices himself so that frisk can use his soul to return home since it takes a Monsters SOUL and a Human SOUL to cross the barrier

Well, to be fair, the title "His Theme" doesn't clarify that the 'His' part refers to Asriel, so, when you think about it, it _would _*_kind of_* make sense to use it on Asgore, or, Hell, anyone besides Asriel, really.

Your Asgore voice is actually pretty similar to what I had imagined. Just a bit higher pitched, but I don't expect people to know my thoughts. If anything I'd say the worse off you are is the delivery of a line or two. Like buterscotch pie sounded a bit weird to me. Also is anyone else getting an Alan Rickman vibe from this voice?

While most of your voice acting for some characters captures the essence of the character, I feel that your style of voice acting does not match characters like Asgore or Sans very well. But like most comments, this one will be ignored, harassed, and forgotten among the masses of fans.

+Timber Puppers Well if you ask, one: that both of them sound to similar to each other, and two: Assgore always seemed like the deep a bit old voice, like a classic mighty kings voice, and while sans voice isn't the one I mostly imagine, it still fits with the character to me.

Well, this is rather nice. Well +Timber Puppers, I feel that Asgore has a very deep voice with very low octives. So while you tried to do a low octive impression, your natural vocal variety struggled to maintain the pitch. As I said, just my opinion, but when I think of Asgore I think of a destroyed father who's lost all hope, and it reflects in how slow his dialogue is. I have yet to find a suitable voice among other voice actors, and I do not have any nice equipment to record, but again this is all just a personal opinion.

Man, the fact that he cant gaze directly to you during the fight shows the sadness and pain he is feeling but he still keeps foward for the sake of his people, what a great character.

Mindy Lee There's a few videos called Undertale Against Humanity where VAs roleplayed as Undertale characters while playing cards against humanity. The guy who did Asgore was British and spoke with the accent with Asgore. It's a really funny series so far.

Aw nooo! My big not-so-burly heart is breaking agaaaaain~ ;__; You've done a lovely job voicing Asgore, giving that soft, dad-like voice. You captured his tortured personality really well, especially at the end! Also, I love the added touch of putting in "His Theme" after performing mercy on Asgore. It made the peaceful resolution break all the more heartbreaking! Awesome work overall, Timber~

While I don't think your voice is deep enough to try to capture Asgore, you still definitely did well. My voice is naturally deep, and so I just made it try to sound more king-like and...voila! Though I still appreciate all your hard, without a doubt. ^•^

If Goatdad is best dad, then Timber Puppers is best voice actor. :P The only minor complaint I have is probably the fact that he sounds a bit like Sans, but even then, the way Asgore speaks feels different than Sans, more melancholy and plagued with sadness in his words. Overall, I loved your performance for Asgore, and I'm stoked to see Omega Flowey when you get to him. :D
