Best way I've seen to organize ratchet straps. A truck driver showed me this, now I see it all over.

Get a yard of fabric, like a canvas, and sew a quick rectangle. So it doesn't look like you carry a bunch of old dirty socks.

Nice way to contain then in small area, only draw back is the sock will trap moisture and in the mid west you would have rusted/trashed ratchets in short time.

@@douglaspost5097 That depends whose underwear, I imagine there would be a queue for some nice, well worn, black lacey numbers, though I can't see those storing more than a DIY ratchet.

This is fake. We ALL know that if you sort out your straps, roll them up nicely, place them in separate socks or rubber bands, then place them in a storage room approximately 3 feet apart from each other, then place a large bin upside down over each one, then carefully shut the door to the storage room, then the very next day when you go in there to get one, they'll all be in a tangled ball in the corner that takes half an hour to sort out again.

That four-pack of rachet straps in your video looks exactly like what I bought from Home Depot. I was about to take a pair of diagonal cutting pliers in order to get them out of the plastic case. I then wondered why they would be packaged so nicely and realized there are two clips that hold each strap in that plastic case. You have to look closely, but there are instructions by each strap that tell you how to do it. They are not good instructions but there are small tabs that must be lifted then the plastic holding the straps to the case can be slid away and the straps removed. Of course to get them back in you have to be certain to fold them just like when they came out. If you do one at a time and closely see how it works, in no time you can take them all out, fold them back and they will look just like the package you showed. By now you have either figured this out or destroyed the case to get to them. The socks are a good idea though. Good luck!

Good golly that was a brutal intro. We know the purpose of a ratchet strap and perhaps the history of the ratchet strap too. I suggest cutting out everything until 2:10 into the video. I do appreciate the time you took to show us this but dayum cut to the chase a bit sooner. Thanks for posting.

I wouldn't use socks if they happen to get wet you can bet it will rust your ratchets out, I just wrap the strap around the ratchet and hold it with an inner tube rubber band. works awesome.

You see ....alls you gotta do is just stuff each ratchet strap into each clear pocket and it might take you a few minutes to stuff idk.....10 to 20 straps BOOM DONE DEAL!!! Where as you might spend a few minutes wrapping up ONE strap around itself...Aint NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT...If you ball it up and stuff it in the pocket , it cant get tangled up either...Also its easy to take inventory(when you have a lot of straps to keep track of)....you just count the pockets with straps or (the ones that are empty) to determine that you need to find a missing strap or 2...( easier than counting zipper bags in a box or such). This comment is in reference to my solution listed below,, Anybody see a problem with this method?????
