This is still the same timeline in a way, just changed up. It's like resetting but instead of making a new timeline, X!Gaster goes into Creative mode and changes it up. He thinks that as long as there is one timeline, and now multiple branching ones, than it's fine to do what he wants.

@@flare_studios. I think overwrite works more like ERASE and replacing the erased timeline with a completely new one, thus having only one line to follow. But that's just my opinion.

And his pacifist attitude make that he contains himself so much because he don't like the violence. In all XTale episodes, he's trying to go by a pacific way in comparation to his brother, who really leads himself to the violence when it's enough to him. Also, Frisk and Chara love so much each other, wich means, both isn't capable to hurt the other one by election. Chara it's the most strong, yes... But it's because his agressive actitude and way to do the things. Or aleast it's what I think about the both brothers

In a mini comic set in timeline II, when Chara accidentaly cut Frisk's hair, he went mad at the point to terrifing his brother, and make he ocult himself and beg for his life. Even in XTale Frisk and Chara's show, when Chara cuts the ponytail in Frisk's hair, he becomes nerveous and he fear to his brother figure what have he done.
