GoPro footage of what it is like to dredge in fairly easy conditions; shallow (2-4 ft.) material, shallow water, and moderate current. When I move further out into the river the current will be much more powerful making everything more difficult.

I've never dredged any Washington state rivers that were that rich. I did real good on the Rogue above the town of Gold Hill. I had some 3 1/2 oz. days with my 3 in. dredge. I put Dave McCraken on that spot and he and his partner got 55 1/2 oz. in one week with a bigger dredge.

He is only doing that to keep the visibility for the video. I know if I was there, I would be using the claw of a straight claw hammer, and just trying to run as much material as humanly possible!!!!!

Nice video, but use some tools to loosen and dig. A wise and experienced prospector can tell that is is NOT planted gold. You cannot plant it into already formed river bed. NICE JOB now just tell me where. I live in Reno now (just moved) so will be spending much time in the Sierra Nevada diving with new SCUBA gear and also using my Garrett ATX underwater PI detector, and a host of other devices... don't know what to start with first. Like a kid in a candy store, but the candy is the great outdoors, adventure and GOLD !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great footage, reminds me of when I hit a rich patch! I live on a creek where I can make at least 3 ounces per week. Of course the (authorities have made it illegal but I don't give a dam! Try and fucken catch me!) I will make 150,000 this year doing something I love that doesn't hurt anyone or anything!!!!!!

I wish I could find a place to dredge during the winter, I have a claim in Barkerville British Coumbia its a legacy claim that was owned by billy barker, problem is from September - april I freeze my ass off sitting in a house in 35-c weather, I would like to take my dredge south to the states for the 2018 winter but don't know the mining reguations in the usa or anyone with claims, is it a free for all in the states and anyone can dredge without permits or do you have to legitimately own a gold claim?
