Only a dozen of so basketball players in history have been that good. That being said, Flagg's ceiling is extremely high if his jump shot keeps improving and he tightens his handle just a bit.

I want too see his ability to defend on the perimeter and his ability to run and offense with facilitating skills. All the best players in the world can get 5+ assists a game and find the open man or start the process of ball movement to get an open shot. I'm wondering why he's even going to college?? Bruh.....Spurs need to say fuck it and go PURE tank and get this kid. Lol fucking trade all your future firsts to Washington, detroit, and the other shit teams lol make sure you end up with number 1 this year. Wemby and Flagg gonna be DIRTY I wanted the thunder to end up getting Flagg but there is 0 chance that happens now unless they are able to call Washington and say take 4 firsts for your first next year and do the same with Detroit. But him with Wemby that Defense, shot-blocking, rebounding and both able to grab a rebound and take off leading the fast break and both being able to spot up from outside giving you legit size but also a 5 out offense.

You’re saying that, like Christian Laettner was a bum in the NBA. He actually had a pretty solid career. Flagg’s ceiling may actually be far beyond that though. The fact that he’s playing harder than anybody in a scrimmage should actually be a credit to him and that he doesn’t pick and choose when he wants to compete.

I dunno, I watched his mixtape, he's not much of a shooter and how much value does a 6'9 wing have without the shooting to go with it. Sounds like a 3&D wing minus the 3, which isn't really all that valuable in the NBA. Hope I'm proven wrong, but I just don't get the hype that's out there for him currently.

1) he shot 38% this past year from 3. 2) he’s currently playing against the best in the nba and is holding his own at 17. If you don’t know why he’s getting hype then you don’t understand. He’s suppose to be going to his senior year and is competing against ALL NBA Guys
@HalfAsianDerp
@HalfAsianDerp 14 күн бұрын
@@cameronbolden5064 I couldn't find the exact percentages, but from what I could find, he's taking less than 2 3s a game, that's not a great sample size. There was a point where Valanciunas was averaging 50% from 3 on similar volume. Does that make him a great shooter / floor spacer? To clarify, I'm not comparing the two from an overall skill perspective, obviously Cooper is more athletic, versatile, and a better defender. But you can't dismiss the lack of spacing being a negative when the modern NBA is all about spacing. Just look at Scoot Henderson and how his first year went. Again, I'm hopeful he turns into something great, I'm just not sold yet at this point. He has a lot of ground to cover still before he'll be able to do this at an NBA level, it's all fun and games dunking on high school kids. And I'm glad he's getting an opportunity to train against all NBA guys, but a low stakes scrimmage is very different from the NBA. Will he be able to stack blocks on guys that are NBA veterans with twice the size of high schoolers with better athleticism and feel for the game. Will he be able to get to the rim and dunk on the best athletes in the world that are as tall or taller than him. Does he have the shooting ability to force people to respect him and open up the floor for himself and others. These are all questions that remain to be answered. I get we love potential in young people, but let's hold up before proclaiming this kid the best NBA prospect in the last 20 years. It's not fair to fans or to Cooper himself to try and live up to these expectations. Let him grow his game and mature, I'm excited too, but potential isn't reality, and the reality is that he hasn't proven anything yet.
