Steve Kerr is actually a bad example. Steve Kerr uses the triangle offense so therefore you can credit Phil Jackson and specifically Tex Winters for Steve's success.

Your take on 90s water down basketball? Is way off base it wasn't watered down. They were actually allowed to play Thug Defense. That's why the scores were so low. The guys of this era wouldn't even make it through half the season the way they cry and try to take games off. But getting back to the topic, the Lakers are a sorry.Mom and pop operation, and if they don't draft Bronny james, I will be very surprised

I’m telling y’all… This was the plan. I’ll use the analogy of If you are wrestling fans and you get a feel for where the story is going, then in most cases it’s predictable. First let’s get one thing straight, LEBRON JAMES runs the lakers organization period. LEBRON is the one that told JJ to do a podcast because he saw how JJ stood up for LEBRON and today’s players, calling out older players and players in the 80s and. 90s, including Jordan. Lebron’s ego cannot handle that MJ is still considered the GOAT. So, JJ creates his own podcast where he can say what he wants and 90% of the podcast is to call LEBRON the GOAT. However, LEBRON nor JJ Reddick are stupid. They needed the Lakers to “Act” like they wanted to hire another coach so it wouldn’t seem blatantly obvious for JJ. The scoop is, the Lakers already knew that Hurley would turn them down because they had inside knowledge that he wanted a 10 year deal and had a figure of at least $12 million a year plus bonuses for playoff and champions. So, the Lakers low balled him on purpose because UConn would match that offer. This is where the plan worked, because now the Lakers do not have to pay JJ a ridiculous amount of $$, and the lakers and LEBRON can say “we tried to get a coach before JJ”. This is not about JJ’s love for the game, love of coaching (zero experience), love for the fans, or love for the lakers organization. This is about JJ’s obsession with LEBRON period. What’s really sad is you have great assistant coaches who have patiently waiting for their turn to become a head coach. I heard some say it’s typical “White Privilege”, but I don’t agree with that narrative and I am black myself. I believe this is not a racial matter though I can understand why some people feel that way because of other competent African American coaches like Sam Cassel or Mark Jackson. This is not a white privilege situation, it’s simply a LEBRON JAMES privilege situation. Lastly, in my opinion , JJ Reddick is an arrogant and hater of the older NBA generation. I cannot respect someone who made the $$ he made in the NBA off the backs of those great players. If one did not know JJ’s NBA resume, one would think he was a multiple time MVP, 15x All star, and 3X NBA Champion. He acts like he was one of the greatest players ever to play. This is such a low and terrible look for the Lakers and the NBA in general where we are now at the point where coaches can be picked by having a special relationship with a certain player, and has a podcast to market that player. It reminds me of foreigners who try to enter the United States the right way, filling out the proper forms and documents, and waiting years just to be pushed to the back of the line while someone either knows a border patrol person personally cutting the line or they simply jumps over the fence with the help of border agency. I pray that the Lakers go 3-79 this year.

"what are your qualifications?" I couch 12 yrs olds and have a podcast with LeBron. "Your hired how does $8mill a year sound ? " Draymond the next commissioner? Know the difference between the Isiah Thomas, Larry Bird and on first time head coaches? They were legends, hofers, winners and team leaders. I hope it works out cause if it's a disaster it will be a mark against LeBron, even if he had nothing to do with the hire.

Now the media giving the mindless LeBron fans talking points to justify this hire influenced by LeBum. Just wait and listen to them parrot this same nonsense. Now you hear them throwing Darvin under the bus, he was not prepared and late and this also will be echoed by Lebron's cult that share a brain.
