I can't believe that you completely miss the point of professional sports so badly. Part of the motivation for trying to keep a top-level athlete to stay at his best is the threat that should you let up, just a little bit, there's somebody out there who's putting it the work (that you're not), and, when it comes down to it, IF given a choice between the two, a winner doesn't remain static, while everyone else is improving---a winner endeavors to maintain the advantage by constantly evaluating, and, where you can be improved, you make the improvement(s). Not saying, in any way, that this justifies the situation with Krause and Jackson. Just saying.

And, I STILL don't understand how Jerry Reinsdorf let Jerry Krause push Phil out the door and in essence, break up the Bulls. Can you imagine if Bob Meyers, the Warriors GM said publicly, a year from now, "It's been good with Steph and Steve Kerr, but yeah, it's time to move on from both...." He would be fired on the spot if he said some nonsense like that. I still can't believe Reinsdorf allowed Krause to break this dynasty up. Just wild.

As a fan of the NBA, the Chicago Bulls, Batman, 'Batman Returns' & Batman-related movies, respectively, the The Penguin/Jerry Krause comparison that Skip Bayless references around 16:57-17:45 put a smile on my face when I first heard it. Fast-forward to 2½ years later & to this day, it still makes me laugh...

What's amazing is all of Jordan's siblings and parents are under 6'. Here is Jordan who is 6'6". I guarantee you Jordan would not have had the same career if he was under 6'. Jordan even said in an interview that the growth spurt he experienced in after high school definitely helped.

So? If Shaq wasn’t 7’1” he wouldn’t have had the same career either. I just fail to see the logic of the “if…” argument. It doesn’t matter, because he did hit 6’6”.

I"m not even a Michael Jordan fan and this debate of who is better between Lebron and Jordan is laughable. Not because of the generation but because he had a supernatural effect on the game. It was his will. Lebron doesnt have that. He is a great player but Jordan's presence alone won games. You hear that Chicago Bulls introduction and the Bulls say Jordan's name (From NORTH CAROLINA!!) right before the game as a fan of the opposite team you already subsciously knew the game was over. Thats the difference. I hated Jordan. But I couldnt do a damn thing about it. And neither could the teams that played against him. It was like Mike Tyson. You knew it was trouble from jump. The consistency to dominate and dominate and dominate and dominate. Thats the difference man. Dude was averaging like 55% shooting and giving you 30 plus points and 2, 3 steals in a era when you had the greatest 7 footers in history playing. This series might shut down the conversation altogether.

@@SawamiJude The fact is Mike willed his team to six championships and no loses in the finals. Matter of fact teams werent allowed to play a game 7. What is Lebron's career winning percentage in the finals? This is the difference between great and being the greatest.
@SawamiJude
@SawamiJude 4 жыл бұрын
Shaar Lahat True enough. Ultimately though the length of his domination will speak for itself, if he manages to win any more rings. & I will say that the NBA has progressed in skill level since it’s origination, and MJ was just the first most extremely talented player of skill level to come at that time and to be followed by more players. Basketball has gotten more skilled and requires more skill then it did then and teams, players, and systems are harder. In the documentary MJ was playing folks dribbling with their heads down to the basket.

@Boss619Tycoon I totally agree there some owners that appreciate championship like me Kraft and the Rooney's in Pittsburgh and the de bartloes in SF. I put j.jones as a clown like the bulls owner always interfering an that's why the Cowboys are just sniffing and dreaming at superbowl.always interfering and he screwd up a dynasty in Dallas and the long long curse haunts them. Im. Long time sports history buff and a meathead but those in front office who intentionally mess with dynasty there organizations are haunted for decades to come just at Cleveland ask SF you destroyed it with Harbaugh getting during him. Young Jed York taking it for granted siding with his GM and gutted the 49ers. Ya they got back to a Superbowl but the curse you lose it with 8 min up by 10 points. Curses..my man it follows teams.. yes I agree with you championship are good for biz but those who shall not follow and destroy with evil intent pay for decades long after. If disagree fine but in gonna pull facts and give it to ya everytime and we got KZfaq as a witness you can always google.

TheRealist 811 yea Ewon got that, Barkley too was bigger (2nd biggest star of the 90’s) but I really think Pip with his raw skill, length, defense and all around play was really 2nd best. And Hakeem was a center. He played at the rim basically so u can’t compare them to guards!
