See if the game was tied, he would've gone for the game winner. He misses, they just go to overtime. Just like against Indiana and Toronto. But he knew he would get blamed for the loss if he missed. So he decided to pass it off to hill, this way his legacy doesn't take a hit.

alpha omega Jr getting all the flack but you're absolutely right. There should have been a huddle with the players with lue saying "if we miss the second free throw get the rebound and call a timeout. They weren't prepared at all, pop wouldn't have let that happen. LeBron did call a timeout but like u said lue should've called a timeout, there was enough time for a play, but when u look at it why was jr in the lineup to even get a chance at the rebound? After putting it on the coach you start to see even more problems with that whole breakdown. Was korver out there? Is jr dependable? No, he isn't the best thing would have been to call a timeout and get the right players out there. Maybe James love green korver and hill maybe. A lot of people blaming jr but when u break it down lue didn't have his guys in position to make a play.

Skip's argument about the play "not being called in a timeout" is ridiculous...Michael Jordan NEEDED to tell Kerr/Paxon because everybody EXPECTS Jordan to take the last shot....Everybody KNOWS that LeBron is going to make the correct basketball play, which is WHY George Hill cut to the basket!!! You don't cut to the basket like that, and not expect LeBron to find you....that's the worst argument i've ever heard!

Julian Randolph I realize that but do you really blame lebron shutting down in OT after his teammates completely threw away the game after he led them to the promise land? His morale, as well as the cavs was completely snatched from under them by the hill miss and the god awful jr play. He made the right pass time and time again and his teammates missed pretty much all of the open looks he gave to them. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t dare ask lebron to perform better then he did tonight because it was practically perfect.

This man Skip. If there were 5 guys crowding the paint and an Apache helicopter strafing LeBron.... and Kyle Korver was wide open in the corner, he would still say, "WELL MICHAEL JORDAN WOULD HAVE DRIVEN TO THE BASKET. WHY WOULDNT LEBRON? MICHAEL JORDAN WOULDNT HAVE GIVEN IT UP TO KORVER. HE WOULD HAVE THROWN THE BASKETBALL AT THE HELICOPTER LIKE A MISSLE AND TAKEN IT OUT. HE THEN WOULD GRAB A BLADE FROM THE FALLEN CHOPPER AND KILLED THE GUYS IN THE PAINT...." .... ... .. . "And then he would have made the layup."

In the last few minutes of the 4th, the refs missed so many calls for the Cavs and the ones they did call for the Warriors were very questionable, some were downright bad calls. When the refs are basically keeping the warriors in the game, there's no way the Cavs could gain any momentum, especially when they're the home team. Also, noting that the refs called a flagrant 2 on Tristan that could possibly suspend him for 1 game, with only *2.6 seconds left in the game!* This is the NBA Finals, officials can't be making these type of mistakes in a game of this magnitude. Because of stuff like this, people are going to start calling the NBA rigged, because we know how much the NBA loves dynasties.

HE AINT MJ, HES LEBRON RAMONE JAMES, ONE OF A KIND BASKETBALL SAVANT. He doesn't play HERO BALL. He's the ULTIMATE TEAM PLAYER. And even last night he was clutch all night long, keeping the cavs in reach the entire game. It's not even about just just scoring 50, it's about how EFFICIENT he was. Yeah Jordan scored 55, but did he do that against a team like Gsw?? And did he shoot 60%?? NO. Keep your Jordan worship to yourself. The refs were to blame. Honestly the worst called game I have seen in a long time. There truly is a conspiracy brewing here with the officiating. As if the warriors really need the extra help at home with all of their talent. In my eyes the Cavs are up 1-0. What a travesty and sad day for true basketball fans to see the NBA sell out and try and manipulate the outcome. I truly thought the officiating would be slanted towards the Cavs....boy was I wrong! I guess all that Bay Area money is coming in handy to pay off Silver. I’m not normally a conspiracy theorist but how else can you explain last night. Literally there was a series of 7-8 bad calls that were made in favor of the warriors that helped them get back in the game and get their momentum back. They better have some make up calls for the entirety of Game 2!!!!

@johnyb9519

Jordan had to have 4 straight 40+pts games, including a 55 pt game, against the 1993 Suns. He had to have a 35 point first half against the Blazers in 1992. He had to have a 13 consecutive field goals' performance (overall 15/18), against the Lakers in game 2, 1991, whilst dishing out 13 assists. Thats a small sample of perfection. All of that, from the shooting guard position, whilst playing intense defense against Drexler, Magic, Kevin Johnson etc and comitting very few turnovers. Pretty much the whole first three peat was Jordan playing beyond perfect all throughout the playoffs. Scoring big, with no defense and a shitload of turnovers aint perfect.

Magic was 31 and MVP the previous year. Dan Majerle, 2 time all defensive, 6,6, bulky, fast, athletic was Jordan primary defender. They switched on to Johnson in hopes of him being able to stay in front of Jordan and avoid him gettting to the paint. It didnt matter, Jordan would take on a shorther, monsterly athletic player like KJ off the driblle, like he wasnt even there. Jordan had already torched the best defense in the league in Knicks for 54 out of Chicagos' 104, more than 50% that is, hitting a single lay up and 17 heavily contested jumpers. Again, the Knicks started 6,6 monsterly athletic Gerald Wilkins on MJ, to switch on 1993 all defensive John Starks in hopes of limiting MJ's drives. Which happened, but it didnt matter anyway cause MJ put up the single best midrange shooting performance in playoff history. All of that is besides the point though. Jordan had to be beyond perfect for Bulls to three peat and he certifiably he was not just beyond perfect, but beyond anything imaginable. Oh, and he was a 6.6 shooting guard by the way. Plus he was a ferocious defender silmutaneously either shutting down prime Clyde Drexler or picking up a much bigger guy in Magic Johnson all the way from 3/4 for more than half the series or forcing an extremely explosive and fast John Starks in to 6 and 8 turnovers etc.
