This game requires you to look at builds and armies in very different ways from the last two, treating them like previous factions misses a lot of their strengths.

Late game demon prince becomes irrelevant but he can certainly poop out 0 cost 0 upkeep armies turn after turn.

But he's not part of the doom stack, The thing that makes it good is getting a healer in the battle.

Are all deamon princes considered weak? I'm curious to know why. Some of them do seem a bit underpowered (low armor etc), but I do like the flavour. The Nurgle one looks awesome.

Korne doesn’t hate all magic actually. Spells that makes you physically stronger and your equipment better are just fine in his bok. What’s not is when you start summoning fire storms and lightning bolts.

Khorne does, in fact, not hate magic. Khorne likes magic when it is put to good use ... for example making magical weapons like axes of two-handed swords. What Khone absolutely despises is *sorcery*, using magic to fight instead of engaging in honourable melee combat, mano a mano!

yah putting him on a juggernaut would be worth it if that is the case just for that little extra bit of speed honestly cause as legend had said before " you only move as fast as your slowest unit " and the bloodreaper isn't extremely slow but its not fast compared to everything else in the army.

@@GameDehne Might be better getting a slaaneshi hero and putting those on a mount. Can easily get 100+ speed whilst being able to hide in the forest. Did the khorne hero add anything else to the stack?

It's really not needed here. They went againt hallberds and AP missiles and had no trouble at all

@@theodemir1953 Agreed. As Legend has pointed out Doomstacks are not really needed in general in WH3 anymore. Making them even stronger might therefore not be worth the money. Maybe that changes when immortal empires comes out and you have to fight dark and high elves again

But it could be an Interessting Option for Mortal Empires.... High Elve/Dark Elve and some other Doomstacks could really hurt them i guess

Having access to blue horrors early on with Khorne infantry is good also, they have poor AP so you just have your high armour Khorne infantry stall and deal with cav while your blue horrors kill stuff.

I mean, my daemon prince has never struggled in melee. He's no skarbrand powerhouse or Kairos spell caster but by the mid-game I can't think of many lords that can dual him plus, with 1 healing caster or if you give him some ability to self-heal, I think he's fine. Just not OP like other lords we are use to. I like the Daemon prince where he is. Only thing I would change is giving him some item slots too, no reason wouldn't use chaos artifacts and wear chaos infused amulets etc... all the other daemons do it. Maybe even carve Khorne runes into his skin as an "item" that give ward save and stuff.

@@markus-mirko4091 When you get to 4000 glory, or something like that, you get 25% discount for the units, but that's for each separate monogod and his dedicated units. Not sure absolutely, but I think I've checked it's global. Edit: Checked, it's global.

That really is just Nurgle carrying the Bloodthirster. Even demon prince's set contributed nothing to the battle. Meanwhile 96% ward save Zhao will solo this and kill the daemon prince on minute 1 or something.

Have to agree, equipped + armor set and he has 150 armour +15 phys resists, also checked weapons and by far double slaanesh claws animations are far superior than any 2h weapon from nurgle rewards or 1h+shield

@@Asraeks give him the Khorne helmet on top of his undivided plate armor set and he gets tons of in battle bonuses that boost his weapon strength like crazy

@@Dianbler Yeah that is true - but any love towards him and his faction makes me happy. Defiantly my favourite faction and LL of all Total War Warhammer, just a shame the Prince sucks.

@@tech-priestbravosierra7720 I think he just needs 20 extra MA/MD and like 50 armor base, and then I think he's fine imho. His base stats are just so incredibly low that no amount of equipment can fix it.

I can support so many troops, its fucking insane and put Scarbrand to shame .. I can essentially rise armies without any cost. This entire army would cost me nothing except the two heros in it.

These AI definitely doesn’t use neural network. It’s probably something simple like setting targets to each units which they’ll move toward their position or last known position and not removing them. And I think this is also the reason why they ignore barricade that were built at the start of the battle. If they actually use neural network AI the cost of it (and it’s maintenance) would be more expansive than the game development and they’d go bankrupt.

Warhammer 1 is boring in comparasion. But you will need to buy it to get the full map. Warhammer 2 is great, but it is the most fun with the DLCs and if you want all of them, it will be very expensive.

Maybe the reduced upkeep its needed for this idk but the undivided set is better in every other regard

Just buffing the body parts would be better. The problem right now is that chest 1 giving 10% physical resistance, 20 Armor, and 15 Melee defence, and Chest 2 giving 10% physical resistance, 15 Armor, 15 Melee Defense, and 5 Melee Attack is endlessly pointless.

What I mean is, how fast can you lord snipe before the bloodthirsters lock down your life slaan. Carnosaurs might screen but they would need help. Troglodon might help but doubt it. Maybe skinks on trogs.

For Khorne, Skarbrand is essentially unstoppable fully maxed out. I beat a Very Hard Khorne Campaign mostly running whatever and I took 17 Bloodthirsters and 2 heroes on bloodshrines to easily win the Be'lakor fight. Exalted Bloodletters are really good, the chaos warriors with halberds are good. Bloodcrushers are good. Most Khorne units are viable in my opinion being either B, A, or S tier. Technically, there's not much of a reason to even run a doomstack for Khorne. Your low tier units shit on Slaanesh units since the A.I. is laughably bad at playing Slaanesh right and by the time you're fighting Cathay/Kislev, you already have bloodthirsters usually. Really, you can run whatever you're able to afford. Also, you really don't have to worry much about healing Khorne units since they have such higher replenishment, and a good army can easily beat 2 at a time without losing any units. It's extremely rare to encounter a 4 stack army in the ROC campaign. Only time I saw it was a Kurgan attack against the Bastion. Most of my Khorne campaign I just used Exalted bloodthirsters, chaos warriors with halberds, a couple bloodthirsters, some bloodcrushers to easily catch and destroy fast units, and a bloodshrine or two. I mean even in this video, he probably wouldn't have needed to even heal the bloodthirsters because none of them got close to dying against a 4 stack Cathay army. Add in Skarbrand instead of Daemon Prince and the bloodthirster doomstack is extremely viable for Exiles of Khorne as well as Daemons of Chaos.

Yeah, and against AI that is very important to consider, but let's say you're fighting another player in a multiplayer campaign. This army would beat Zhao Ming, granted I think the army may actually be better if you had it commanded by a herald or exalted bloodthirster (though sadly for multiplayer campaigns, CA seems to have either overlooked the fact the ascension dilemma doesn't pop up, or made it purposely not pop up, so you can't get exalted daemon lords in multiplayer, which saddens me in my current multi with my friend, I'm playing Skarbrand, he's playing Cathay, I'd really like a bloodthirster lord, but I am not getting the dilemma that should pop up at lvl 14 or 15, and I've got heralds that are lvl 30). But that's if you're playing against other players, but against the AI, who wouldn't recognize a 1 man doomstack as a threat, the 1 man doomstack is better. (edit: I suppose having the army be significantly cheaper using the demon prince is probably more important than the slightly better bonuses a khorne lord would give, plus the fact an exalted bloodthirster lord would be a much better fighter, but no reason you couldn't have another one of these armies commanded by such a lord).

@@darkrite9000 i am not 100% sure they would beat him tbh. The question is if they could outdamage his regen, if not they might not be able to beat him. He has a constant aoe damage item and can cast final transmutation on them. And if he can get to the caster he kills him in seconds, since his meele stats are better than each single bloodthirster. And he has up to 1.5k ap damage. Player vs player is kind of a different animal so i am not sure how this would play out but i have fought with hi against 5 keeper of secrets and nkari (and 2armys) and his healthbar did not even really move.

@@kohlenkurt3155 Well for the matter on the caster, it'd be hard to get away from a bunch of bloodthirsters, cause they have enough mass to block him, whether it be landed or otherwise, so the likelihood of getting at the caster would be pretty low. As for final transmutation, I've not used it yet in WH3, but in WH2 it kinda sucked, too expensive for the actual damage it'd do, that is unless you're a certain supreme patriarch. So I just don't think Zhao Ming can deal with that many Bloodthirsters, he doesn't have unlimited regen, it's just that him and Miao Ying have twice as much regen as anyone else. Although if you're being attacked by that many bloodthirsters at once, or even just 6 or so at once, it'd probably be enough to give his regen a run for it's money so to speak, now if he's in human form, less bloodthirsters can hit him at once, but he would be knocked around a lot more. Also a player would know to buff the bloodthirster's attack using the bloodreaper's one ability for more reliable damage. But yeah would need to actually have 2 players do a multi, and test this out to know a bit more for certain.
