One of my favorite pictures that I found for this collection. Studley was a carpenter, mason and even a piano maker. Such an artisan. The absolute precision and neatness of this toolbox really appealed to my OCD !!!

I can't even imagine.

I saw it and thought I eat 3 eggs at a meal, there was only 1, and could I live off those rations? No. To be able to work? No. Really all that food on the table, 3 days max.

@@jennacornwall5243 Totally agree … Roman History is my specialty and you wouldn’t believe how little the average Roman ate … Cicero would have a few figs and olives for lunch and maybe a piece of bread and cheese for dinner … He usually had a glass of water for breakfast 🤯 .. times have changed !

Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for being a regular viewer. The roman roads didn't have cars but they did have carts, which were often extremely heavy and could be equally destructive. If you go to Pompeii you can still see the massive grooves cut in the streets by the carts... quite amazing. Glad you like the music. Rise of the Machines is my latest composition. I get a nosebleed if I stand on my couch ... These always make me squirm. I worked on the 46th floor of a building in Manhattan overlooking central park for a few years and that was manageable because I was indoors and the windows gave my comfort. But, if we went on the balcony you could just feel the crisp wind that high up... I don't know how they do this !!

That's awesome! I love to hear people getting back to piano. I taught myself when I was 20, never had a lesson and just compose by ear. Forget the scales and technicals. Get that lovely piano tuned and then just close your eyes and see where your fingers go. Music comes from the heart not the fingers .... good luck

Indeed, and it was more than just the UK who had rations … The photo itself was taken in England, which is what the caption states.

They are not fake … but some are staged .. I.e. the famous one with the workers having lunch on the NY high rise beam was a publicity photo … I have posted a photo of the famous photographer while he was taking it.
