mariah is a perfectionist remember that. that's why she always retakes, she has OCD when it comes to her singing. how i wish she should have just left it as it is so she could've preserved her voice longer. but what matters most is that her golden voice have been recorded and no other technology can replicate that sound. it's still totally her and only her can do that!

chipmunkaraoke I mean her being a perfectionist wasn't one of the reasons her voice became tired. It was because her label overstressing her, not to mention her douchy ex-husband was her boss and wanted to end her, and her divorce likely affected her vocally. Mariah may have had bad things happen to her, but what's important is that she is happy now. And she's already proven she's one hell of a vocalist so. 🍵😌👌🏻

2:50 Wanya’s grin is now confirmed on the correct vocals. God I love her live vocals. She takes pieces she likes from each performance (she’s does multiple takes for some songs) and makes one performance or video. She’s a genius and it’s all her vocals no one else’s. ♥️ 🦋

The reason Mariah dubs her concert is to remove the distracting audience screams. A lot of artists do this. Beyoncé did same in her I am World Tour. It’s not easy getting clean vocals in concerts although it’s easier today than in the past.

It’s clear they dubbed it because they crowd was so loud. Honestly it seemed like Mariah was singing solo at the end cuz Wanya’s lower voice got drowned out by the crowd. But in a way it really showed off her resonance

@theoneandonly2503 I was sorta in denial there lol. For me though none of these were dubbed completely, there are differences but just editing here and there still too much and highly unececcsary but yeah it does suck a bit.

It is difficult to say if the other few high notes were dubbed or not because I believe they did more than one more time if they thought was necessary to. As she did Vision of Love at least 3 times until it was perfect.

I now know the EXACT reason why this was dubbed... Just listen @2:38 onwards and you will hear this performance starting to sound like a solo performance by Mariah. Her sheer power and resonance, drowned Wanya's voice and reduced him to a background singer. No offense to Wanya. He is a very talented vocalist. Just that, Mariah was SO EXPLOSIVELY resonant in the climax. Fight me with my opinion and I'll answer back by letting you watch the video again. 😉

@@keepitreal1467 nope... I've watched a lot of Mariah's concert. Resonance is definitely something that she always had. Remember as well that 1995 is what most lambs consider as her vocal peak so this definitely is NOT a case of a sound engineer messing up. 😉

Mariah’s resonance is truly unreal. She even overpowered the late great Luciano Pavarotti in the undubbed version of their Hero performance. And that’s a top tier tenor!

Obviously some difference on her vocals between the two version (For example they changed the 1:54 note who was a little missed here or they added some high belts). But still Mariah was in her prime here and her voice was awesome!!!

the dubbed version is the same vocals as this undubbed one. In the music world Dubbed means that the sound penple edited out the crowds voices in most of it so we can be able to hear properly.. We dont want to hear the crowd sing right? We want to hear every pin drop of Mariahs voice

I really hate that the official video's are dubbed. Cause it makes Mariah sound like someone else or a bit weird. The only thing they needed to do is dub is the crowd. And leave the performance the way it was cause their perferction!!
