I have visited KL 6 times as 2/3 days stopover to get to other parts of Malaysia. Personally my favourite city that I have visited and I have been to many amazing cities like Bangkok, Singapore, Rome, Istanbul, Florence, Barcelona, Lisbon, Madrid, Seville, Athens, Jakarta, Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, NY, Tokyo, Kyoto and Cairo - excluded London as I am from the UK.

Welcome to Malaysia 🇲🇾 bro n sis... If you stop for foods at non muslim shop / food outlet. Do make sure that shop is a halal certified, especially a meat / poultry base culinary - normally they will place a JAKIM Halal sign at the entrance. Since we are a multiracial nation the islamic law / Sharia was not imposed to a non Muslim. There is a possibility not every a non Muslim shop serving / selling a halal food ( mostly ingredients ). The shop with a sign - no lard, no pork n no alcohol is not fully halal certified as well. Tips, you can look around to ensure the shop is selling a halal food if you see lots of local Muslims eating there. Enjoy yourself n hopefully you will enjoy our Malaysian hospitality as well.

We are the only nation that provides by law : any malays ( race ) is a absolute Muslim in our federal constitution. If a person identified as a Malay to you, he / she is 100% Muslim. We also don't deny that there is a murtadin amongst the malay ( very very small number / isolated cases ) n his / her race identification will be revoked.

a lot of pakistani & indian became Malaysia citizen because those days they work with british colonial. But it's only for those in this country during 1957 until 1962. its same goes to chinese who works and business at this country at that time. it's not strange if you visit Petaling street there are many Bangladesh Indian nepal faces because they come to Malaysia to work kuala lumpur is big city like Dubai United Arab Emirates Most natives here don't like them because they do business without a permit to be honest foreigners are not allowed to take the business sector in Malaysia but they are still stubborn

Kuala Lumpur please.. Not Lampur.. Lumpur means mud or soil with water.. Kuala means early part of the river.. This town took their name from muddy river of klang and gombak.. Thank you..

Please tell your views about long term stay , if some one want PERMANENTLY MOVED/ RETIREMENT LIFE here in Malaysia being a Foreign National ( from Canada, USA, Australia etc etc) , cost of living , rent etc etc

Aslm brother, you may refer to many videos about that in KZfaq since so many of them produce about everything you need to know. So far we only have the MM2H - Malaysia My 2nd Home visa ( 10 years & renewable ) but it's very expensive n you need to deposit USD250K in our local bank for that. If you looking for a short term stay - 1-3 years as a digital nomad, you may apply D'Rantau Nomad Visa via MDEC. You may refer to Nomad Capitalist channel for more info as well.

I don't speak Hindi but thanks to Bollywood the language sounds very familiar to us Malaysians lol. Btw I doubt that the satay in Chinatown is halal. If you're still in Malaysia make sure you only buy street food from Muslim seller
