There's always a story behind the smile of a stranger. It's whether you are bothered or not.as an apprentice (underage) drinker on the outskirts of London, a sure passage was guaranteed if you could engage in conversation with the regulars and the you became one and stayed for lockdowns where the most unexpected characters would jump on the piano or sing a ditty in full voice, and you'd realise how much life you hadn't lived and how easy it was to misjudge people. Served me well on my travels. I'd love to have been in this pub when the tune struck up. There is nothing more stirring than voices in concert and harmony. Surely the only real thing that sets us apart as a species. Indulge and forgive me because I only plug KZfaq in during and after a few medicinal nips and am compelled to say me bit.
