Tactical dice-rolling roguelike combat. Take control of 5 heroes, each with their own unique dice. Fight your way through 20 levels of monsters and try to take on the final boss. If you lose a single fight you have to start over so be careful (and lucky!).

In the future, if your juggler keeps hitting themselves, go to options and turn on the option that each side of the dice side chance is 1/6. (It is a joke option that does nothing)

That poison immunity was so clutch, then rolling into the wine flask with that was crazy! Great run, but I'd love to see another at some point.

You can get more than 2 rerolls! Had a Wizard that buffed another character's rerolls until they were able to generate infinite reroll cantrips. And then they all died on a spiker. Edit: oh i should have waited to watch the final boss lol

The bow item that gives all damage ranged is my favorite to put on cantrip heroes so I don’t have to worry about spiky enemies

I managed to go infinite through all my cantrips either having steel or copycat. Turns out steel cleaving cantrip shields go exponential real fast.

I like the Hand ability (its called Handicap) combined with his smug face, it is like "yeah you can have that +1 Pip, you are gonna need it against me" Which in some cases it backfires a lot for him

37:38 cruel works on sheilds too! Since your juggler is below half HP, the block doubles from 2 to 4 on them

The Bard's "Else" ability is excellent. I basically never took Bard before 3.0, but I think he's a strong contender now. Notably, "Else" works with sides that are blank for any reason (e.g. Exert). This came up at around round 65ish of my Blursed mode run today. :)

I love it when a T2 makes it to the final boss. Happened to me with Fey once. Some T2 are just something else.

There are options in the setting that allow you for complex hard and easy mode and it is quite fun. There are also also party rarity thing in option too. I prefer seeing hard mode than unfair because unfair is sometime straight up unfair

Yeah unfair is a genuine challenge. Unless you got a strong 1 turn kill most enemies or infinite shields/health build, it's not happening. It renders half the keywords useless.

I think something that would make this game go from a 9/10 to 11/10 is having short animated portraits, at least for heroes. Imagine the bubble on the Lazy growing and shrinking, the fanatic having constantly anxiously shifting eyes, Alloy only slightly moving up and down with each breath, and so on. Then, have certain things like the Juggler hitting themself have a unique portrait for a few seconds. It changes gameplay almost none, but it would make the game feel so much more alive with so much more personality.

Defy is crazy.. managed a 50 damage hit on end boss!!! so satisfying.. was like watching paint flow into other paint heheh

Glad to know that my boy Bard is even *more* busted now. He used to have a Charged shield and a single use mana side, but a cantrip damage and shield synergize nicely with his reroll side. Plus that ability!! It basically turns any X side to 1 shield cleanse, making it so much easier to pick characters with a lot of X's because there's virtually no downside. He's always been strong for how early you can get him, and since you get him so early you can plan your items around him proactively, instead of getting a tier 3 and hoping that the items you have work with them.

Honestly, I think a really banger gamemode for this, if it doesn't exist already, would be instead of choosing an item, choose like 1-3 Keywords to permanently add to a hero's dice.

If you ever go on a streak or any win you should submit your highscore the online leaderboard is super cool and knowing how nuts you are at extremely hard rougelikes i bet you could get near top of the leaderboards

My vote for the unlock bypass question (if it's still being debated?) is do it every other episode, Alternating between being hit with the new quirky stuff, and mastering everything you've achieved at your current level

I am still getting inevitable as final boss two often ) I counted via history - 9 inevitables vs 8 all other bosses. When I played easy it was 4 inevitable in a row. Something wrong with RNG.

Infinite rerolls+any cantrip is the dumbest combo you can pull off it this game. basically nothing short of "you hurt me you die" monsters are even a threat at that point.

Immune to poison has absolutely NO PLACE in an UNFAIR run... If anything.. that is a massively OP benefit.. the amount of runs ive had halted because i had no cleanse ability and poison just slowly murdered me!!! START POISONED now that would be an unfair run :)

yes, that is why it is something that you have to add 3 curse to replace, I think you missed that it upped my curse requirement to 13?

@@Retromation I have to confess i did indeed miss the fact that it adds a deficit. I just have so much ptsd when it comes to poisons :) It made me laugh when u said that the wanderer was OP!! on fight 20 I hit the boss with a 50 point BOOM from DEFY!!! instant death / win.. best feeling in the world.. hahaha :) esp after being OWNED so much by the plethora of end bosses!! Great vids btw..
