Hello, just watched your video and enjoyed it! We are scheduled to stop there on our cruise in October! I was wondering in Turkey what currency will they except in the shops? Was it Euros, Turkish Lira, or US cash?? Thanks in advance.

I used euros and credit card! The conversion rate in your credit card (as long as you don’t have an international fee) is the best. I carry euro for small purchases. All our stops took euros. Have fun! Thanks for watching. 🚢🚢

Thank you for the video. We will be visiting on a cruise in July. What would you recommend as a dress code, especially at the House of the Virgin Mary?

It will be warm. Covered shoulders, pants or a longer skirt or dress. It’s a small place but many people. A shawl would work for your shoulders if you have a sleeveless top. The grounds don’t really enforce a standard, but it’s conservative attire. Think church! Have a great time. It’s amazing!

My excursion was through our ship, so it was prearranged. It was called: House of the Virgin Mary & Ancient Ephesus Best Seller $99.99 / Adult (ages 13 and over) $79.99 / Child (ages 12 and under) I’m sorry I don’t know the tour operator 📌but Viator.com does a similar one for $95. (discover Ephesus and Virgin Mary’s House Tour), FYI. Thanks for watching!

There is no guide during the tour? It would be nice to have a guide to accompany the tour to explain all the history. So the price includes transport and entrance fees only.

There is a guide for the Ephesus part. He walked with us and explained things. For the a Virgin Mary House, it really is about going there and seeing her small structure and there are a lot of people. He gets us there and back and does a short explanation, but that is mostly self- guided at Mary’s house. I enjoyed the tour. Thanks for watching!
