hunter is using irst to track so they don t get a warning for being locked just the fact that their are picked up on the search radar

I was using IRST lock as much as I could, so that maybe made them feel a little bit safer.

@@pko6596 RWR should still give off missile launch warning, IRST may not be detected but the guiding signals are. Given that he was shooting them down at 9km+, it really should've given them enough time to react at all, which they didn't. Even then, knowing there is a Roland on radar, why even get in the 12km zone, especially so unprepared for a missile launch.

@@Hunter_i86 I guess so, but I certainly wouldn't feel safe with a launch warning on my RWR, but they still didn't seem to care too much. Given they already knew you were there, by detecting search radar, they really could've done better. BUT, not that I am complaining, more competent CAS players are certainly not something I dream about either.

@@Wotplaya4 Also Su-25SM3 has MAW, I know .. they get warning but with IRST ON there will not be RWR lock warning, and missile incoming warning sometimes comes late. Soon I will try Mirage 2000, since it will get MAW too.

It was just a briefed message for the people who think SPAA is useless.

Pantsir S1 still the best for sure because it doesn't trigger any jet RWR yet without the need to switch to IRST. However, the 50G VT-1 missile can still kill a plane even if it was in a perfect notch, it is very deadly missile. I also like the German truck over ItO 90M mainly because it has smoke grenades which can disrupt a lot of laser and TV guided munitions.

Note you can lock normaly but it will not track untill 2km

It tracks around 3km, and point lock at 23km. Not a bug, it is basically Maverick A.

There were fails of course, usually when target gets destroyed before my bombs reach, or when it moves. The target should stay static.

The bloopers were mainly because targets move or die before my bombs reach. Not fun to watch :D

pwr and ACQ functions are complications that are not needed but the holy snail love to ruin things.

@@Hunter_i86 It’s crazy it takes forever to spool them up. By the time you get a lock on a pantsir you’re dead. I do the low alt runs and I’ll pop up within a few KM get a lock fire and bug out but that’s almost useless now. I’m just gonna try dumb bombs / drag bombs

@@jordancourse5102 The fastest lock you will get is by HOLD launch button of Maverick. Try it.

Yes the CAS spam is bad haha. But hey, these pilots are flying their planes using real sim controls vs SPAA players with mouse aim and RB controls, so I respect them for that.

@@Hunter_i86 It drives me up a wall though because I’m pretty sure a few of those games I played there were only one or two players in tanks at the start of the match.
