Hi, my friends! This is a different style of video for me to share, but I hope y’all still enjoy it because I discuss a lot of different books in it! I’ve been wanting to do better with reading the books I own (mainly the ones on my physical TBR shelves). In 2022, I read 27 books off of my TBR shelves. Which isn’t bad, but when you compare it to the fact that I read 130 books in all in 2022, it feels less-than-impressive to me. Especially when I have about 140+ books on my physical TBR. The main point is that I’m reading, that’s great, it would be nice to not have a looming physical TBR though. 😅 In 2023, I tried to step-it-up with reading more books from that category!
(In case you were wondering, my guidelines for this list were: This list does not include books I was sent for review or books I bought physical copies of after reading them from the library/as another form of ebook (like Hoopla, KU, etc.). Books that are on my physical TBR only! Even if they were on my physical TBR only a day! Pre-orders only count if I did not receive an ARC copy!)

Love this video, Lindsey! For me and keeping books, I usually buy books that I've already read and and loved therefore know it is good. Otherwise, if my library doesn't have it/I can't find used, I'll ask for or buy a nice, hardcover and almost always keep it. That being said, I always look up reviews beforehand (yours for content!) and try to see if people I know have read it, so I'm always pretty sure that I'll like a book before I spend money on it!

This video was a nice one to clean to. Your videos are a motivation to me to clean and organize.😂😂 I have the hardest time unhauling books. I still have Junie B. Jones books from years ago but I refuse to unhaul them, even though if I read them now it would drive me crazy. Maybe as I grow older it will be easier to send books away into the unknown to find another human to read them. Also, I believe I agree with your thought on cracked spines to dog eared pages. Both are painful to me but cracked spines are such an atrocity. You should have seen how I read the KotLC books, making sure they didn't crack.😂

Ahhh! Really?! That’s so funny and such a high compliment for this organizing lover, hahaha! 😁🥰 Oooh, sentimental books can be hard to pass along! But, yes, I try to think about passing them along to someone else who may enjoy it more/as well! Hahaha about KotLC! I so believe it! That series shouldn’t have been done in paperback, haha! 😂😅

I have asthma so I totally understand the perfume thing. I wish, in this day and age when we know about asthma and allergies, that people would stop wearing it.

🫣Trigger warning! ⚠️ 🫣I bend my paperbacks so they will lay open. I prefer paperbacks over hardbacks but I can read both. Cracked spines all the better. I’m of the mind that the book was made for me and not me for the book. But I understand. My aunt didn’t like cracked spines. If it looks read much all the better. 😊 Awesome video!👏🏻

It has to be 4 or 5 stars for me to keep it, if it had some favorite sayings I add them to a reading journal or commonplace notebook and donate the book. 😁

I cracked up throughout this-this was so much fun! I’m VERY strict with what books I keep due to space limitations, so I only keep books 3 stars and up that I would want to reread more then once. If I don’t care or the book was good but I’d never read it again it goes! There are limits to what I can and will keep and I love too many other books to clog up precious space with ones I’m just okay or meh about.

I'm getting better about unhauling the longer I go on. When i start running out of space, that's when i reevaluate and decide which books i truly love, and which one's i will most likely not read again.

Yeah, I kind of keep most of my books. I love rereading, and I don't buy books often enough to keep a large unread TBR, so... I probably should unhaul more often. Hey, most of your sentences were actually not run-ons! They were very complex and/or compound, but they were mostly actually acceptable. I... actually don't care about either cracked spines or dog earing. I dog ear pretty much all the time, and I don't usually even notice if the spine is cracked. "same personality as an inanimate object" 😂😂😂😂 "This girl didn't have the sense the good Lord gave a goose." Also 😂😂😂

Hey, thanks, Morgan! 😁 I definitely found the loopholes for making one long sentence for all of these books, haha! 😂😁 Ooh, that’s interesting about the cracked spines and dog ears not bothering you! I feel like there needs to be a study on readers with all the different opinions on those, haha! 😁💗
