@@cottonhxney he's saying people are allowed to have preferences for themselves, which i tend to agree with. i am generally not into blondes, foreskin, a lot of body hair, or anyone overweight. why are those things *generally* not "problematic"? ..but when people try saying they aren't attracted to particular races around certain people, they experience a major difference in reaction? i suppose there's a difference in publicizing it however and that's a discussion worth having, but as the authority on myself, nobody has a right to my time or my body- regardless of political correctness.

@Temaghn O Murchada I think part of it for me was the outrageous and hilarious editing tbh. To be fair, I dont agree with some of their points like for example this topic, and respectfully just decide not to start arguments here in the comments, but hey, that wont deter me from watching all of their episodes and screaming in laughter at how crazy and funny these two are. I'm bisexual and have heard thousands of arguments against who I am (from telling me Im just denying my sexuality to just wanting the "best of both worlds"😂) and Im not really that much into the world of drag other than watching Drag Race on KZfaq, but oh I am so glad, it is entertaining as hell, and it surely has made me change my opinion on drag queens. I used to think it was nothing more than a weird fetish turned job to be honest (Im talking when I was like 21). And I know I only see a small portion of the drag world with Drag Race, but few years of watching videos on KZfaq and episodes have at least made me really think what all of them do is hard, brave and it should really be appreciated because it sure uplifts so many people. The first video I ever watched about a drag queen was Mayhem Miller's Eyes performance and from there it led me to Drag Race, and I sure as fuck dont regret it😂

Not all gay men are effeminate, but we have to remember so many of us feel so insecure about our masculinity due to the fact that society from an early age tells us we're not real men. Straight men are often insecure also. Many straight men I know have said that if someone assumed who was gay from the group I wouldn't be the person. Yet, only until recently am I fine with calling myself a man, and I just turned 25. I felt so uncomfortable with it before. Ironically, it's because I always wanted to try makeup on, because men, well, we aren't allowed. I was afraid that since I never felt comfortable calling myself a man that maybe I'm transgender, so I never tried makeup on for years lest I have a personal discovery that I just was not ready to deal with. One night, I said, "who cares?" Ironically, although I didn't have a revelation of being a transgender woman, I realized I'm a man. Gay men often have a lot of internalized homophobia and masculine insecurity, and we need to work on that. There are many ways to be gay. If you're masculine, that's fine. If you're effeminate, alright. I used to think I could never date an effeminate man, but now it doesn't bother me at all. We can all grow in our own time

@justinstewart4889
@justinstewart4889 3 жыл бұрын
@@VASSOUNDDESIGN Oh, of course make-up doesn't make the man or woman. The make-up was just the medium to my own realization. I mean my life experience made me insecure as a man, because I was gaslighted into doubting it. It's just ironic that transgressing a gendered rule, which I feared would confirm what I'd been made to think by homophobes, made me actually have the opposite realization unintentionally. All those people turned out to be wrong, and I realized I was who I was in perfect contentment with that truth, a truth that was challenged a great deal of my life. That's all I mean.

i grew up in rural oklahoma and i am 35. i was never in the closet. to this day, i look back on all the torment i received and it's so bizarre how fearless i was because now i am a socially awkward introvert. i still deal with a little bit of baggage, being judgmental to particular gay behaviors, but it's all a journey. in general, what's the worst someone will do, call you gay? boooohoooo; i just lived my life. i am glad, more and more, people are living their truth.

Funny story, my family said that if I dated a guy that painted his fingernails(only painted his fingernails not even trans or anything else) they would call him the f word. My family is extremely homophobic. It’s only nail polish I don’t even get what the big deal is. They said that I was going to be the “man of the relationship.” What does that even mean? Are they stuck in the 50’s? I don’t get how expressing creativity through nail art has anything to do with someone’s gender. Thanks for reading my rant.

As a gay who is mainly attracted to masculine men. It's mostly about wanting to find someone with the same interests. @@chaddebuff2299 lol gays calling other gays homophobes is astounding. I find it's the femboys that are bitter that some masc guys reject them. Yet it's so those femboys that say "No fats. No Asians"! I'm supportive of people being attracted to any consenting adult they want, but they can't be hypocrites about it because they're not someone else's type. Atleast in the gay community we are upfront about what we are looking for(masc for masc, vers top, dtf my place. Or LF longterm etc), you know? You know exactly what your getting into before you even message them. It's great transparency. Maybe hurtful if they reject overweight or other races, but if that's a deal breaker then you don't have to find it out after getting attached. It's narcissistic and manipulative to shame people into dating you. I've seen that happen in the gender dysmorphia community where a pansexual gender fluid they/them shames you because you won't accept their date request. I'm sorry, you're a great person, but I don't like tits with a penis 🤷‍♂️

Called an embarrassment to the family. Made fun of for my mannerisms, my strut, emotions, sensitivity, etc. Even after I came out as gay I always felt I had to hide my fem side. From my family and the gay community. (I never did a great job of that though but thats neither here or there lmfao. ). But i want go say thank you to you two and the whole drag community. You all inspire me to allow my fem side to flourish and just be me unapologetically.
