Phenomenal cover of Unholy! I searched for "Unholy" and this was one of the first ones videos listed--I had never heard of Gigi Vibes previously, so I clicked on it. OMG, I was amazed. Gigi, your singing, growling, and body movements are so sensual and beautiful. I have now watched many of your videos and Gigi you have it all: musical talent, voice control and pleasing timber, slim good looks and personality--the camera loves you! And the Vibes are top notch! Of course, I subscribed. :)

@@xtian0207 you know her parents were separated when she's so young, so only she and her mother are living together. Unfortunately her mom was hit by a cancer. To support their living and her studies, she joined every singing contest she can, at the same time singing in any events like parties, weddings etc. During the covid pandemic she and her band decided to do the livestreaming 2x a week for 2 to 3 hours engaging the audiences online and singing requests to still make ends meet and support her mom's chemotherapy. And the rest is history. Now Gigi and the vibes are so famous. They rose from humble beginnings to where they are now. And I believe, there are still a lot of great things in stored for them.

@@ianchadcelis9760 I did read that they did lots of live streaming during the pandemic and this really helped hone their craft, but nothing about Gigi's mom. Now that you brought it to my attention, I read that her mom has stage 4 breast cancer and this was the motivation behind Gigi cutting her hair short: to have the same hair as mommy Imelda. She's a good daughter. I pray for her mom.

This is the Gigi I’ve been waiting for…I knew she would break out with a true rock song that would get her recognized and this is it! She nailed this! The band was phenomenal too! They are all very talented musicians to be able to do this “live” and in the pocket. I can’t stop watching this performance. Gigi showed us all the different dynamics and styles her voice can bring to a song. She is definitely separating herself from the pack. Too many Filipina singers getting stuck singing “hugot”/ballad songs…it’s just over-crowded and now they’re all collectively known as “biriteras”. Honestly, I think that’s a disadvantage to them because it doesn’t differentiate them from one another. Obviously, of that group…Mori, Katrina, Angeline, Moira are the best and most well known at this genre, in my opinion, but everyone else is just “average”. What I like about Gigi is that even though she started off singing ballads and pop and joined that long list of “biritera” singers, she decided not to pigeonhole herself in that genre and chose to stand out by venturing into other genres that most Filipinos would not have expected her to. This was a risk that paid off because now everyone knows her versatility and her vocal dynamics along with her natural ability to capture people’s attention are her biggest strengths. The fact that she can sing every genre and give us all an amazing performance each and every time, shows she’s got what it takes to make herself known internationally. If they can come up with an original song that will stop and make the whole world listen, there’s no doubt she will capture everyone’s hearts. She has the IT factor! I’m looking forward to seeing Gigi and her band blow up! Rock on Gigi Vibes! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

Oh my gosh I LOVE their chemistry especially at the start when they were figuring out exactly how slow she wanted it to be. XD You can see the pianist and the drummer following her tempo and adjusting immediately, while the bassist appears to be surprised. You can also see the guitarist doing an "oopsie" gesture hehehe~ They are so good + talented! And adorable XD

This is your best cover ever!! With all due respect, you are all great musicians. But the popularity of this video should encourage you to perform your own versions of songs. Dont be afraid to do it your way. Gigi connected to the audience with her “attitude” and performance. I wish you more success.
