Excellent layout. 👍 though some things had to be downsized. The kitchen, but with a good outdoor kitchen that would be doable. This was a bit quicker video. Did I miss water, food storage capacity, bathroom/ shower, or electronics solar / batteries? I'll re-watch and check out the website. Well done as always on your builds. That was a killer front bumper and bull bar set up by the way.

I think they skipped a lot of that as this is quite an older design for them and not up-to-date as to what they can do.

I have a very important question as regards what you said and would love to get answer, you said the body isn't made for a permanent life but for 2-3 week outing , what is the expected life span of the body if you decide to live in it for a day to day life without having a second option of a home?

Unicat's expedition vehicle is almost satisfying machine. But if it would be equiped with solar panels, auxiliary generator and a washroom at least, it would be fully satisfying.

This with out doubt could be converted for permanent living for sure wouldn't have the slide out though!! Keep it compact it's big enough if you have no kids turn the bunk beds into to office area 👍🏻

If apocalypse come, this camper truck will be in hot sale! Yet, big loots for raiders! The owner shall reinforced the wall of this truck bullet proof, and can withstand 5tons of explosions from C4, Javelins, RPG and IED bombs, furthermore, the owner must have a battle gear, with GALIL ACE-II armed with NATO ammunition standard 7.62mm + SPAS11 as your secondary gun, trust me, you walk like Godzilla wherever dafuq you like.

The first slide out ive seen on a vehicle of this type. Will we seen more slideouts to expand the width ? More an overlander than expedition vehicle maybe . As always solutions to inspire.

There is another UNICAT 8×8 built some years back that featured a horizontal slide. It was comparatively small due to the torsional stresses these bodies are meant to handle. There's a video out about the build, just not on the UNICAT official channel. The problem with slides is that most of the time, the interior layout isn't particularly functional with the slide pulled in. That's not a big deal when you're camping in one place, but it can be a pain in the ass if you're just pulling over for a bite to eat and a nap before you drive off again, or if your travel was delayed and you're stuck spending the night on some defunct logging road before you can reach a good camping site. The rear slide mitigates that somewhat.

Wonder does the roof extend back with the rear slide or isi side like a drawer. Have to go back and see. Are tanks and generator attached to the truck frame or to the habitat?

The slide fits inside like a drawer, with an additional skylight panel on it. The underbody fit out is attached to the truck chassis itself.

Question about the front metal plate/protection. Usually on a TGA/S there's an air intake just under the bumper, but now it's blocked. Does that affect engine cooling?

Thomas what did you mean when you said it's not for long stays? I have been contemplating an 8 x 8 Unicat as an alternative to a prevost or Newell. Is this body not built well enough for long stays?

Трудноступные места? ) Это скорее мобильная маленькая красивая квартирка, чтобы не снимать комнату в гостинице когда в другом городе. Для природы он не предназначен.

Эти машины изначально в виде карьерных самосвалов грузоподъёмностью 30 тонн уже давно. начиная с начала 2000х годов работают на Северах.. Возят руду и золотоносные пески. практически круглый год..Там эти машины хвалят. и никто не жалуется что они не предназначены для природы.. А на Севере дорожные условия тот ещё квест...
