Sylvester James, Jr. better known as Sylvester, was an American disco and soul singer-songwriter. Known for his flamboyant and androgynous appearance, he was often described as a drag queen, although he repeatedly rejected such a description. Responsible for a string of hit singles in the late 1970s, Sylvester became known in the United States under the moniker of the "Queen of Disco."

One of my favorites from Megatone Records. The San Francisco Sound! Produced by the late Ken Kessie & Morey Goldstein (Modern Rocketry). That's Morey on the "Rock the Box" vox sample. Glenn Frey "You Belong To The City" totally bit off of that hard piano riff.

Ese sonido del vinilo rebobinado es simplemente epico. Un tema muy adelantado a su epoca (1984). Yo soy amante de los 80s aunque naci en los 90s y apenas la conoci hace unos meses y ya esta incluida en mi larga lista de musica ochentera.

Gilgamesh Tencle , porque adelantado a su época?? Eran los estilos musicales de esos años. En el '84 yo tenía 18 ,si lo habremos bailado!!!. Fíjate en la canción de Shannon "give me tonight" la estructura musical es muy parecida,de paso si no la conoces te la recomiendo

@@gilgameshtencle gracias a vos ,es cierto disfrutabamos en las fiestas con grandes canciones ( sin hacer previas) Permitime recomendarte una muy buena banda,ya que estás haciendo una lista ochentera; A flock of seagulls si los conoces bien, si no, verás lo talentosos que eran,hay un vídeo donde tocan sobre unas rocas en el mar,esa canción es fabulosa. Bueno, gracias nuevamente,y a disfrutar de los 80 aaah!! también los 90 tuvo buenos estilos musicales y buenos artistas.Un abrazo

+Jo Pa Absolutely . Early to Late 80's we had the best Electro Club Music & in 90's, House , Techno , Trance & Rave took over, as I'm sure you know, it was pumping. Miss being on E & Dancing to Rave music.
