Gonna get a few of these for the house with my new network I’m installing.

I got one of these in early access. It has been rock solid. It was an easier way to get a few Ethernet connections to my second floor as well.

PoE passthrough is awesome. Don't need the switch nor the "in-wall" design but I guess if we're only going to have one PoE passthrough access point it should be one that has most features ticked...except for the price point.

I've been running the InWall since the first version with the two ports coming out the front. Overall pretty happy however out of the 5 locations in my house I have had 3 fail , both the UAP-AC-IW and UAP-IW-HD. I'm currently trying out 2 Mesh 6. I think I can mount it to a metal single gang block off plate if I want to keep it out of site and cord free.

Would the U6-IW be something you'd use for individual bedrooms, or would you use a U6 Lite that can cover both rooms be the better option?

I need to get a few of these. I know a few clients that would be smitten with these units over the previous model - especially for the built-in switch.

I really like these In-Wall APs but for some reason with the new U6 it will not “lock” into the mounting bracket. Not sure why. I liked how the In-wall HD that screwed into the back plate.

How's the coverage vs the IW-HD? Signal improvements?

Great overview. Have you used the UBB bridge? I was wondering if the U6-IW will work on the remote side of the UBB with a Dream Machine on the primary side UBB. I was thinking of powering the U6 with a PoE+ injector and the UBB with port 1. Do you have any experience with this configuration?

can you bridge the in-wall with another AP? Say if you’re running the in wall with a poe injector?

Hi Chris, Great video thanks. In New Zealand I reckon it could be ages before we get this product. Would I see any real difference if I got the IW-HD instead, and mixed it with a U6-Pro? I am just looking at home use. Do devices roam between AC and AX APs just as well?

How do wired clients appear in the topology view? With the In-Wall HD, they appear as though they're connected directly to the switch rather than to the AP. Is that still the case?

Soy nuevo como usuario Ubiquiti, compre mi primer equipo UniFi Ubiquiti Switch Networks US-48-500W el cual en la actualidad tengo todo cableado con cables Cat6e como las camaras Poe y computadores, impresoras, tvs, etc, en general todo lo cableado esta funcionando sin problemas con mi equipo existente, aparte ayer decidí comprar un Router modelo reciente de Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine modelo con pantalla el cual me deberia llegar a mi Pais de Chile y posterior a mi localidad como en 20 dias más ya que dicho router en mi País no existen a al venta y tuve que importarlo desde EEUU. ¿Mi duda es saber que access point puedo comprar el cual sea wifi 6 y sea alimentado por Poe desde el Router o desde el Switch que compre sin necesidad de ocupar un alimentador electrico Poe adicional y sea energizado por el nuevo router Dream Machine que tiene 2 puertos Poe o por el Switch US-48-500W? y asi poder tener una red Mesh unificada la cual pueda tener bien organizada con una red principal que tenga acceso a la red completa y se puedan ver los equipos y entorno de red completo y una red invitado el cual solo tenga acceso a intenet sin acceso al entorno de red en general. ¿Algun manual o video demostrativo que me puedan compartir por favor?.

No security screws like the previous gen IW. This might become a problem in hospitality environment.

Anyone found that these run REALLY hot? Mine is consistently 120F, even when it's not doing much. It's hot enough to be uncomfortable to touch. I also have a Nano HD that is warm, but definitely not as hot at the U6-IW. The U6-IW seems to be drawing about 7.5W and the Nano HD about 4.5W.

Shame it doesn't have 2.5gbe...
