Thanks for the comment 😂 Wow Note 10 huh there are times when I miss my 'normal' smartphone... mostly for security and the screen. But it's all forgiven for the typing experience and the $300 price tag lol

@@DayinTech I've enjoyed the Note 10 but ofcourse, its now a dated phone. My ideal phone is a small form factor phone of which my favourite were the Sony Compact series - which they unfortunately stopped. I can't handle big phones and have atimes, even struggled with the Note 10's size. That's what primarily attracted me to the Titan Pocket. I just wished they maxed it out with top specs eg, Snapdragon 855 or higher, Bluetooth 5.0 (rather than 4.1 @ a mediocre 1mbps), at least 8 gb ram and an Oled or amoled display. I wouldn't have minded even paying up to a £1k for such a small but powerful device.

I can totally see that. This would have been a dream phone with better specs and a slightly bigger screen. Is there a reason you're not going for the iPhone mini though? Sounds like your kind of device.

I get where you're coming from. Swapped my LG V50 screen two times. I think I would've chosen the bigger Titan too if it weren't for the lower SOC. I'm satisfied with the Titan Pocket for now but the absence of water and dust proofing is a shame.

Yes I meant to add a comment about that thank you 😂 So apparently the shift key or short press to capitalisation works well on the Titan Pocket in the "native software". Just not on third-party software like gboard. Although.. Microsoft's SwiftKey does seem to be the best option for people who use languages not supported in the native keyboard software.

Currently, the phone is running a security patch from.. 2022(September? I forgot) 😞 so I'm going to have to say no

Wow thats a big leap! My Titan Pocket still works great but the lack of software updates is rather concerning… still stuck in September 2022

Wow never thought of this comparison before. Yes from what i see the Pocket does have the better camera with sharper details and better HDR.

What the.. where did my reply go 😂 Well to repeat what I wrote, the Call background is always green for me and I don't think you can change it... oh and its not a BB split screen app. I just put two big widgets on the homescreen to mimick BB10's homescreen!

@@DayinTech Mister Kim, I used to have the first Unihertz Titan. But that was clunky and not in par with the software! I had all BB10 devices. We were catered back then. Software, OS, design, etc. The best was the Passport and Z30!!!! I had also the Key1 and Key2. So the Unihertz is basically not an option. But a great video, Mister! I rock a Galaxy Fold now and I am happy. Sadly Onward Mobility won’t bring us a new Blackberry. I wish you a great 2022. Keep the content and Charme coming.

Gosh its striking we have the exact taste in smartphones lol the z30 and passport were my favorites too. I also plan to get the next fold once that comes out. As for Onward Mobility… starting to think it was just a marketing hype. But yeh thanks again and wish you an awesome 2022!!

I think it depends on the app! My banking app worked fine but my stock app was really cramped and unusable

But then again the security patch is like from a year ago. So I moved all my banking stuff to my iPhone

Well its the same issues that arise from phones with overdue security patches. I'm not a huge expert on this but from what little I know, when there is a breach or a bug in software, developers will "patch" them up. And the Titan Pocket hasn't received that for 8 mths.

Nope, the led is only available for charging, battery low indicator, missed notifications, messaging and calls. Also, the colors are limited to just red, green, blue :)

@@DayinTech god damn it! OK here's what I said, minus the Reddit links. SUPER excited that you got a working copy of the Titan Pocket and uploaded your review! I actually use Niagara launcher on my Android device right now as well so it was super cool to see you use that on the Titan Pocket. I had 1 question about that actually: I saw in the video when you pressed "t" you were able to jump straight into the app search. But do you know if you have an app shortcut set for "t" would it launch the app instead? Debating just not setting shortcuts cause going directly into search seems more useful actually. Regarding the issues/questions mentioned in your review: Having to hold the shift key down: I read that it's a bug if you have your keyboard layout set to anything that's not the "default" layout. If you switch it to "default", it should let you press shift then another key without having to hold down shift. Also there is a setting to swap the locations of shift and alt, if you prefer shift on the upper-right instead. Fn key: by default if you press fn + any key it will launch the app shortcut for that key, even while you're not on the home screen. However, if you go into intelligent assist in the settings, you can set this to be a "ctrl" key instead so that you can use shortcuts like ctrl + a, ctrl + c, etc. Hopefully that helps! Let me know if that fixes the shift key. Planning on getting one of these really soon myself.

@nintendonarutofan Gosh you are a god send! Thanks for rewriting it 😂 I used keyboard shortcuts at first but personally I found universal search to be a more simpler solution. Apparently that shift bug only comes out if you use a nonnative keyboard 😂 like you said the default keyboard works fine! I guess I have to hope for more supported languages then. and ohh now i see the point of the fn key.. Set it to ctrl for now lol Thanks a million brother! Hope you get your unit soon.
