Awesome! Purchase #1 - ear muffs with built in Bluetooth for tunes. 👌🏻 Purchase #2 - extending ladder for getting in & out the back before someone does a knee or ankle. 🤣

Quick tip for the uni mog shifting. Start in 3rd or 4th and then get the engine up to about 1500. Once you are in 4th go straight to 6th because that is when I changes ranges. When doing this shift get the engine up to about 1700. Then continue through the gears going up to 1500 and the shift. When downshifting get the engine to idle the put it in neutral rev it to 1600 and the gear should go in effortless.

Couple of things, make sure you have the full ces air hose, jack, base plate and wheel nut cheat bar, tyre pressures is what it's all about off road. They originally came out with ballon tyres whitch are awesome but on road chewed out the left hand to much, later found to be running on the edge of the road was the cause. As for driving down the road ,Bluetooth ear phones with red hot chilli peppers or the like works great.Drive it like you stole it on road, smash it to the floor and keep it there.Grab a wooden double bed from somewhere and use some brackets from Bunnings and teckscrew to floor same with full size RV fridge.Head was from dehydration, heat and wind ,triple fluid intake and keep on eye on urine colours the darker means more water.Carefull of wind burn.We love what your doing and your enthusiasm so stay strong and keep the clips coming ,new fans.🍀🍺🇦🇺

Hey Guys! Good to see ya. What a beast! Takes quite a bit more time ta dump the air outta those tires then the 37's. They also look like they might be split rims. Don't stand next to em when you're air'n em back up, they have a bad reputation. When it comes time to put yer wide tires on I'd look to see if you could fit bud wheels on instead. Much safer. I do believe one of the very first things l'd do once the build starts is I'd line the entire interior of the cab with Noise Deadening/Heat Shield Mat. It's like a blanket sandwiched with aluminum foil on both sides and adhesive on one. Comes in various size sheets, cut to fit, installs real easy. I build race cars, hot rods for a living and I use it every where I can. Makes a huge difference. 2nd thing I think I'd do is I'd put padding on all those bow's in the back. Sure hate ta dent one of em. Be safe you two. Cheers!

Just a little word to the wise...about the tarp. When you close the tarp hook down the back flap first and then bring in the side flaps. If you hook down the large back flap after you fold in the sides you will eventually rip the upper corners of the tarp and destroy it. The wind catches the back flap and billows it out which stresses it and rips it at highway speeds. The side flaps prevent this. All our unit's vehicles suffered this fate because of so many different drivers and a lack of understanding of the equipment. Enjoy the truck.. we never got these in the Canadian Military except for a handful of ambulances in Bosnia and Croatia. Cheers. DLH

Thanks for the tip! We are not keeping the tarp, it was only temporary setup 👍

Wow what a machine, thanks for sharing the experience. I have just found your channel, gone back a ways to the 1st Unimog video and now enjoying the ride. As a child I grew up in the bush driving Willy's jeeps and Chev Blitz Wagons. Never driven a Unimog but admire them immensely. You talk about a visceral experience driving the unit but I can't get enough of my 2021 model DMax, my 1st ever automatic transmission vehicle, I love the thing, no way am I going back. I love the autosteer and the many lazy driver functions, it makes my old BT50 look like a dinosaur. You enjoy the unit because we are enjoying your journey, very entertaining, thanks. Don't fall out of the back of that thing, you could die.

What an absolute beastie! Many years ago I used to run Bedford 4WDs in the tropics. The only thing they had that the Moggie doesn't seem to have was quarterlights in the door windows. The front windows could be pivoted to scoop air directly at the driver and passenger, and that was enough to not need aircon! I really look forward to following your ideas.

Yeessss! Finally! It seems like its been such a long time since we’ve watched a proper Outfit video, great job guys 😀 Bowser looks absolutely epic in the drone shots, it fits in so well into the scenery! 🙂 the heat and noise looks a bit insane in the cab, be careful dropping your phone cable on the floor Chris you’ll end up melting it 😂 love the back to basics camping, just pure fun and laughter is all thats needed, enjoy guys, hopefully Bowser doesn’t leak too much fluids!😬

When its finished, you are going to have so much fun going places 98% of the population can’t. Also, you don’t hear a thing in the wind. Will follow with interest.

Great idea if your the army with logistic support and parts supply. For the following reasons, I hope you don’t breakdown: 1) Few vehicles will be able to tow you. 2) Parts for this will likely be non existent in outback areas. 3) Very few winches will be able to pull you out of an off-road bind. But bloody good fun all the same. ENJOY!

You two make quite a cute couple! The interactions between the two of you buoy my spirits and make me smile....; I bet it would be easy enough to build some fold away steps that would make it much easier to get in and out of the back of your rig - I picture maybe three steps that would come down and rest on the ground. It would be more like a folding staircase. (just an idea - the kind of thing you think of when you get old like me!! )

You should make a table that attaches to the tailgate that can fold out while the tailgate is down. Then you have a instant table that is easy to stow away. Mount it between the side ladders - thus allowing you to still use them while the table is down.

All ADF mogs are governed to do only 80 K's , if you push the hand throttle down, put your foot on it and tuck your toes in under the dash, you can get 90km out of it. Maybe look at getting the governor adjust if you can? OH and you can go just as fast in reverse as you can in forward( if your game)... You can also drive it just using gears 2, 4, 6 and 8.
