When I was a pre K teacher some parents dropped off at 6AM picked up at 6 PM, crazy. If they were DCF funded, started beginning of my Teaching career, child could be in daycare no more than 10 hrs. DCF asked 4 work schedule and daycare was alerted and drop off pick up schedule was around work schedule. Alot of parents got off at 3-4 PM before that and picked up at 6. I understand that after work you have errands, grocery shopping, etc but if its 5 days a week every week then you are just using daycare to not deal with your child. I had some parents who got off at 3-4 , worked 10 mins down rd and picked child up 15 mins after off work. Children should not be at daycare 12 hrs out of 24 hrs every day.
