Thanks for posting. I bought the 6 when it 1st came out and added the ARS iso and eq to it bc the onboard iso wasn’t exactly fitting with my left-handed workflow. When ARJ released this I had to have the gold limited so purchased it recently. Love the look, the feel, the workflow. It’s def a unique piece. ☺️🙏🏽

Appreciate you going to the effort of making the video. Find it interesting and it’s not completely unfathomable that I could get one, if I really liked it. Though being completely honest, I don’t love the way the layout works like that. I’d personally rather see an Orbit 6C. Where the whole master section and the crossfader are centred on the console with 3 channels a side. That’s the kind of mixer I could be somewhat tempted to spend nearly £7k on if it also had an insert path per side and kept the master isolator functionality.

It is very interesting, as interesting as watching a video on a Rolls Royce.

Love seeing these types of videos. Fascinating stuff. That type of cost is too rich for me, but I like that the products exist. Always good to see someone have go at making something a bit different to the usual thing.

To me UA always screams top quality, but that’s when coming from a sound engineering background. I’d love to meet the person this has been aimed at. I like this. It’s pointlessly very good and that’s intriguing.

I really love your reviews of gear. Even if it's not something I would aspire to own as it may not be for me, i still find it interesting the way you present it and have knowledge and maybe I can recommend to someone else to which it would make perfect sense. Plus I know I'm a massive geek so anything new is interesting by default

Definitely interested in seeing this kind of stuff, and let’s be honest, waiting around for major brands to release stuff to review isn’t going to keep the channel fed :) One thing that is a little bit of a shame, they don’t do one for the Radius 4, that would have been a great little addition.

I have the Orbit 6 (Gold Version). Its replacing my Rane 2016a. My Rane paired with the Bozure Dual ISO sounds fantastic but the Orbit 6 just sounds way more robust and detailed.

Actually the Omnitronic TRM-422 has individual outputs per channel and a master insert.. so I believe it could theoretically work with it, but the mixer already has a crossfader and costs one third of the Union Audio 😅

Realise I miscounted the number of cables needed to connect it. If you count each (L&R) as a separate cable, you need FOURTEEN of them to link the mixer and eq.xfader. That won’t be cheap, either, for decent quality cables 😂

Considering all the cost and hassle of adding this unit I would probably prefer a version of the original mixer that had these onboard. This is modularity going over the top but then again, I'm not a rich kid.

When are you going to review the Bozak Iso X with this mixer?

honestly the Orbit 6 might even have a good sound, I don't know, I have no idea, but a rotary mixer is not just based on good sound, a mixer of this price would have to have EQ per channel, and if they want to insist on the HPF that's fine , but they also add the LPF. the buttons I think are too low, over time your nails and fingertips will wear out the writing and ink on the central plate, cue/meter on each channel I think is unnecessary, the cue button on each channel is also unnecessary.... We are talking about a rotary mixer, and this may be the most expensive, but far from being the leader... I know people and I am one of them that the price to pay for this mixer would not be the biggest problem. The big problem is that the mixer has unnecessary things and the necessary things do not. This EQ/XFADER is another way of making money, if the mixer had EQ per channel we wouldn't need this EQ/XFADER... it doesn't convince me. I like tables like Bozak ORIGINAL not the one made in the UK, Urei, Rane mp2016 first model, Alpha Recordings System 6700 I consider these to be true rotarys... I'm sorry sir Andy, the mixer may have a good sound but it's not convincing.... It looks like a Christmas tree with so many LEDs, and for the price it costs it should also provide coffee :) But to each their own, good sales.
