It's so nice and refreshing to get back to an old electronic music album. To realize how all the technological constraints of the time enhance and shape the creativity. A lot of tracks in this album use the same sound samples, and still this album as a whole is a timeless classic. Computers are so limitless nowadays that it's very hard to come by a trance album that has soul

I had an amazing track I loved so much that I had recorded from the radio more than 20 years ago on a digital tape but could not find the title of it. It was "Two Full Moons and A Trout"!!!! I found it!!! This piece of music is absolutely mind f***** blowing!

The Analog years of Dance music in the late 80s/ especially the 90's and the early 2000's is untouchable but I have started to remix the 90's dnb, house, rave, hardcore, jungle, psy-trance and techno.... enjoying the 90''s so much... It seems to get better with age ;-)

It tok me many years to find the first track of this album again, I used to listen to this on a cassette mixtape but i never knew who the artist was, brilliant track. After a night out on speed, when I was younger, i used to ride my bike home with the Red Herring track in my headphones, playing it over and over again, what an energy rush.

I was never huge into Trance in general, Platipus records really knew how to curate GOOD MUSIC. This album is just good. Glad you are enjoying! I'm going to post some of my other favorites as well. 😀

Union Jack were a really overlooked outfit on the trance scene in the 90s . I saw their live sets a couple of times and they should have been regarded as highly as any other trance act of the time. The way they overlay so many different parts on tracks like red herring or their masterful use of voice synthesis is just so impressive. They really were quite an act to see onstage with a huge soundsystem, though the drugs probably helped too!

I think Union Jack and Terra Ferma were historically significant both in blurring lines between genres and in just shear depth. If you look at members history you see earlier there was also house, dnb and I think hardcore/hard trance. Truly underestimated!!
