Really beautiful cinematography with this one. Union Station and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority are chartered by the state with taxpayer funds. Some of its employees may be hired through a privately held company, not the Metro itself. The Board of Directors is chosen by a pool of elected officials, such as the Mayor, his/her appointees, people serving on the City Council and a few others. Licensed employees, such as security guards often are set to the same standards as public employees and must uphold the Constitution. Anyone working for the LACMTA is considered a public employee regardless. You guys didn't hear someone yell Shalla Mihallah at 22:24 behind you, as you walked through the station? Or did you yell it?

Actually, the policy in question is only for commercial photography. Union Station employees are allowed to take all the photos and video they want under the same guidelines as the general public. There's no policy prohibiting the public OR station employees/contractors from recording in the public areas of the station. It's only COMMERCIAL recording/photography that requires a permit.

Policy CANNOT trump the Constitution.
