UniPi-Hole, Unifi and Pi-Hole on one Raspberry Pi
We use a script to install Unifi 5.12.72 and Pi-hole on a Raspberry Pi 4. We also set up our network to use Pi-hole as our DNS service.

Great stuff, David! My Pi is coming on Thursday. My main purpose was to put it on my IoT network, so I'm glad you mentioned that it's different. Can't wait for that video.

I would statically assign the Pi in your Main network then setup the firewall rules to have all IoT devices see the pi-hole. Hope my PI-Hole DNS video helps.kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hJZjeLap17uvk4k.html

I followed this fixation method a while ago , The current version is 5.12.72 how Can I update to version 6.0.20 Without affecting pi-hole or unifi controller ?

for me The Pihole script didn't start after unify was installed...

After Unifi Controller installation completion, it did not ask me for adding controller into the script. Infact told me UniFi is active(running). Appreciate if you can tell me what command I should use to run PiHole afterwards?

Try starting fresh. I just updated the script about 20 minutes ago.

You can run the following four lines which will install pi-hole: echo -e "${RED} Pi-hole will be installed now. The initial configuration is interactive. ${less}" curl -sSL install.pi-hole.net | bash echo -e "${GREEN} One more step is changing the password for the web interface of the Pi-hole. ${less}" pihole -a -p

I have the UniFi controller already installed can I skip the installation of the controller and just run the pi hole script and continue with the video?

Have an raspberry pi 1b do you think it can mannage this?

I don't think so. The Unifi Controller alone needs at least 1 GB of RAM and Pi-Hole needs 512MB of RAM which is what the Pi 1 B comes with. You can run pi-hole just fine on that rasp pi but I wouldn't try running both.

Can one add Teamviewer on top of this? A video on adding this would be welcomed.

What are you hoping to accomplish with TeamViewer on this? To put this at a client site and be able to get into it remotely? I'd consider ZeroTier for that purpose. Everything you need is through a web interface so you'd just need access via an IP whether that's through you creating the VPN or letting ZeroTier accomplish that for you.

@@FroggTech ---I wish to preconfigure a UDP-PRO for my brother's home network so it can be as much plug and play as it can be. Then I want to remotely configure it. Pi-Hole is down the road. I watched several of your ZeroTier videos and am very interested in using it for this if I can.

Richard, using a Unifi account should work just fine for configuring it remotely. You're going to want to run the controller on the UDMP. You can always ship an RPi with ZeroTier later for Pi-hole.

Does Pi Hole Slow down the Internet speed?

Not at all. I’ve seen the exact same speeds. All it’s doing is adding another DNS server on your network and blocking certain sites based on its blacklist.
