While I do like modernist interior design, even the brute columns, it's not personally *my* thing for what I'd want in a riad. BUT it's evident they did a really great job and clearly used a lot of high-end components and designs when constructing it. And I'm glad something like it exists because it adds to the variety of riads in the city

Thank you for your comment. The finishing in this property is amazing. Very high end and very beautiful. And yes, there is something for everyone in Marrakech. This Riad is at the end of a little alleyway and you definitely know you're in the Medina.

Not my favourite because you can’t tell your in Marrakech when you’re inside that property. My favourite is still the very first one I saw that you were doing and offering a Riad worth $3M. It was stunning. I’m wondering if you’d get more followers on KZfaq if you followed up on the properties and told us when they sold how much they sold for etc. people might find that really interesting and then they’d tune in to your new video to see if the last property sold or not. People love a continuing story just look at soap operas and video games. you could make your own story quite easily by reviewing the status of the last property on the new video. You could reference back to certain videos that you were talking about with the link so then hopefully the person will go back and watch those videos also.

Thanks Colin for your kind reply. I really watch you for an entertainment as I was thinking probably a lot of other people do. I don’t have a lifestyle that would allow me to travel to Marrakech but I do enjoy looking at the Riads and dreaming. All the best in your future endeavors. :-)

I was trying to predict the cost and was shocked at just 800k euros. I was half expecting him to say 1.2million. This one is interesting as they have taken a Riad and given it a Hollywood glow up. That pool in the courtyard is to die for. I can imagine this appealing to Moroccans with a bit of cash as it is something different. As a foreigner I think I'd prefer a lot more traditional detail. I wonder if you could achieve this modernist look with a restrained nod to Morocco's traditional past. I was watching a previous episode and the lady had used a lot of white plaster type design elements on the wall which had lovely Islamic patterns. I have no idea what that is called but I found it to be really minimalist and packed a great punch. What really impressed me about this property is the attention to detail on the terrace. I'm surprised that more of the terraces in these videos are not used as epic garden spaces. But maybe its to do with how much weight can be added to a terrace. As a side note I'm quite surprised by the open plan bathrooms. They look great but with heat and smells etc... I am really enjoying these videos, who needs Netflix when you can binge on gorgeous Riads. I may even buy one.

To each its own . Some people love angular , clean cut ,symmetrical , colorless almost monastic spaces. The host knows that.

@@tommoncrieff1154 The Riad is sold furnished, although there are some pieces that wil be excluded. For example, there is a little glass table purchased from the Mamounia in one of the bedrooms. And some of the artwork is also excluded. An inventory will be established in good time.

Bonjour Colin. The ensuite bathrooms are finished in traditional tadelakt, yes? I prefer the traditional Medina riad we purchased, but this one is a most unusual riad.

Yes, the bathrooms are in tadelakt. And they are fabulously equipped with imported taps, showers etc.

Minimalism, while beautiful, is a bit cold and formal to me! It often looks like lawyers' waiting rooms, which is not my idea of a place to relax! The only room I like to be minimalist is my bathroom!

Looks like a best western in a trendy CA neighborhood. Architects can really destroy a place… The floor in the pool in nice though. You can only show what‘s on offer and new money has no taste, it‘ll sell no problem.

This is a total rebuild, from the ground up, finished in 2014. There used to be a ruin here, so this is pretty special.

No privacy in any of the bedrooms when you goto the toilet and i am sure the smell wont be too pleasing, ! as its all open and no closure especially being indoors and waste of space in the Master suiite where the office space could have made an amazing walk in wardrobe !
