I just got this line today and was like "AWW, thank you, lol." Meanwhile thinking of all the unnecessary fights I got us into accidentally. I'm not even trying to be murderous, I'm just stubborn sometimes and these NPCs are easy to piss off.

Imagine if you could disguise self as Astarion during Astarion's mirror scene. To act as his mirror. His reaction would have been priceless.

Close, but I have a video where the character kisses Astarion's different disguises. It's buggy for dragonborn and the gnome-halfling-dwarf disguises. 😂 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bZaPidOjlc-vdI0.html
@snowpocalypse697 ай бұрын
It had me thinking... You know how in the ascension ritual he has you look at his back and show him his scars via the tadpole? Why can't you just do that during the mirror scene?
@alirak92612 ай бұрын
Honestly..... There's a mirror image scroll available. He can cast it. Technically, he can even cast that spell himself if we chose certain spellcaster classes for him, which you can even justify as getting trained on the spot. He's a high elf, so good chances on having some talents, Gale is right there too. I like the scene, but there's sooooooo many things you could actually do for this, totally in canon.

Everyone surprised at Astarion's height have never played DnD once in their lives. Elves are canonically smaller, shorter and finer-boned than humans.
@Amy_the_Lizard6 ай бұрын
Yeah! The Changling in my RL D&D campaign turned into a 6' 8" Elf to 'blend in' in a predominantly Elvish city and literally everyone kept staring at him while almost everyone in the party shook their heads at his life choices (exception being the runaway noble who didn't know anything about elves to begin with...)

I would have searched for a very good painter or drawer and asked him/her to draw him down exactly as he is in life. Not as good as a mirror, but it's better, than nothing. People could also lie about what they say about him.

I do always find it funny that Astarrion as an elf talks about not remembering what he used to look like because he's only in his 200 which is literally like an elven 20-something, like his parents are probably still alive. Halsin is in his 300!!!!
@adnaP_esreveR7 ай бұрын
But he's been a vampire for longer than he's been a living elf (he died at 39), meaning no mirrors for 161 years. Halsin could at least look at a still body of water or something.
