Karma! You just can’t help but believe in it. Last time I did laundry, I had 20 minutes left on my very hot dryer and asked this elderly gentleman if he would like it. He was so grateful I was embarrassed! You did a kind thing, and I came back to you several fold. Every morning I wake up at 6 o’clock, make coffee, let puppy out and in, grab my knitting and look for your video. Have a great day and safe travels

When dealing with a contracted reservation service to grab a spot at a national park, I was told if I have a tent site I absolutely cannot sleep in my minivan. "We're very strict about that" she told me. I asked, if it is one of those sites I have to park and walk to. She said no, it is a site you park in and pitch your tent. Knowing there is no way they actually come around and check to be sure people aren't sleeping in their van instead of the little two man tent just outside of it, I planned to go that route but ended up getting an RV site with no electrical or hookups for the same price as a tent site. I didn't want any hassles.. So, keep a cheap tent to put up outside just in case. Turned out the man who checked me in said to ignore the lady on the phone and feel free to sleep in the van if I come back and get a tent site in the future. LOL

Park & weather look beautiful! Just spent a week @ Caballo Riverside State Park south of Elephant Butte. Must say, the park was well kept & facilities were very clean.

Great interactions does not seem to be the norm these days... sadly. But, today I had an experience with a couple people that was surprisingly nice... gosh I miss the days when this was normal. Good video... thanks for sharing. Sir Winston Arthur is a handsome guy!

Joe Skeen Campground in El Malpais is close to there, free, and gorgeous. Maybe you could try that if you're that way again. El Malpais is super neat too, interesting geological history.

Thank you for scoping this place out. Good to know about the stray res. dogs. Some folks have low put-together fences that they erect for a small amount of little dog safety. Even though an aggressive and motivated dog can jump right over it. This might give a moment to get to safety.

I have one for Wynston. But he was attacked in 2020 by a dog that scaled a concrete fence. Nothing will stop an aggressive dog.

The saying you get back what you give out ~ kind of proved true with your encounter w/ the couple at the laundromat and McDonald’s too 😄 You have such a kind energy about you , so it’s no surprise you had a couple of kind things happen . 😇 Then …. A Ghost town camp ground / state park / $14 a. Nite but not so awesome ….. I see what you were saying . I’m glad that did turn into a positive for you 😁 More storms ⚡️⚡️⛈️🌪️💦 Sounds awesome . And THEN there’s that handsome Boy WYNSTON 🩵💙🐶😁 The Safeway pizza and the other item looked YUM 😋 You’ve certainly had some kindness given your way 😊 The Lake looked amazing & beautiful . Wow …. I tried car camping at an Army Corp of Engineers park in Oklahoma and the host told me I had to put up a tent or have an RV (in the regulations somewhere but I didn’t find it). Luckily I carry a small 2man tent with me, just in case. I’m with you, I paid for the site I should be able to sleep in my car if I want to.
