I'm fairly certain I can live out the rest of my days resisting the urge to cut down a cactus.

Thanks for the post Jeff. Real simple: 1. Don't cut down cactus. 2. Don't drink n drive. 3. Don't smoke dope unless it's medical and you have a card for it. 4. Don't be a stooge and try driving through flooded roads. 5. Don't kill anyone unless it's truely self defense.

The gun laws are great. This was sixth year that AZ was voted best state for gun owners and concealed carry. Doesn't mean the feds aren't always trying to change it. But so far so good.

When we built a custom home in AZ back in the late 90's we had to get a permit allowing contractor to have cactus moved lol.

Your First reaction when using a gun is to maim someone and slow them down? Have you lost your mind!!!you should only use your firearm if in fear your life or others. And if you are in fear of your life you shoot to stop the attacker period.

As a Firearms Instructor, here are the facts. 1) NEVER shoot to warn. 2) NEVER shoot to wound. 3) NEVER shoot to kill.. 4) ALWAYS shoot to STOP (and NO MORE).

It is not an open carry state. It is a right to carry state. You can carry open or concealed without a permit in most places. There is a conceal permit available that allows you to conceal carry in a place that serves alcohol like a restaurant as long as you don’t consume any alcohol. And just FYI, if you get your medical marijuana card, you are not allowed to buy, own, or transport firearms or ammunition.

Folks in AZ drive like they're intoxicated in general.

In AZ do not bring medical marijuana on a military base, even with a card. If caught you will be arrested.

When my Grandma moved to Arizona, in 1964, she actually went out to the desert and cut down a few cactus's. She didn't know. She had a beautiful cactus's in her back yard. Because she passed away, I can share this. I have lived with this secret for 50 years.

It’s more like Arizona keeps passing many laws everyday that reflect California’s laws because the Californians keep moving here and voting for Arizona the new California, beware. They are passing a law that says you must be over 21 to purchase tobacco, I don’t care about the age it’s the point; laws are freedoms takin away. Also if you must be 21 to purchase tobacco then you should be 21 to vote.

Many of our plants are protected here in Arizona. When it comes to the plants on your property, check to see the plants status before cutting down. Some will require permits to move.

Uber or Lfyt is sooo easy and no excuse for endangering public while intoxicated

I think stand your ground laws are great. Any decent gun fighting school will teach you to shoot until the threat has stopped. Good to know about the cactus law.

Moved to AZ from San Diego and I love it ... I Lived in San Diego my whole life and that city is evil I’m telling you , the people are so self consumed. Glad I moved here , love the gun laws ! San tan valley is where I live.

You guys sure have some funny laws there. “Can’t ride a horse upstairs in the courthouse. If you get caught stealing a soap, you have to wash yourself until the soap is used up. Can’t have potluck outside office setting.”

Great video. Worth noting: if you do need to remove a cactus from your property, you can do so, but you need to obtain a permit.

If you building a house and you have to remove the cactus UI the have to hire professionals to do that and they have to replant them somewhere else that is completely legal that's all that goes you have to replant them immediately

I moved to AZ in 2019 and I miss the flowers and trees from back home in Illinois. Morning glories were one of my favorite plants, bummer I can't grow them here. Thanx for the information.

Off subject, as a resident familiar with Arizona I wondered if Plumbers are needed in the area, I am thinking of starting a Plumbing business outside the Phoenix area.

My wife and I bought land in Navajo County. Plan on moving there in two years. Don’t plan on drinking and driving, cutting down cactus or using fireworks etc. bringing a shit ton of guns and ammo.

I would tread very carefully in AZ. Seems like a very law and order, tough justice state. Even in Texas, get caught with pot and it's a misdemeanor at most. In the major cities they probably won't even charge you. In AZ it's a FELONY.

There are things I like about AZ like the gun laws but damn it's starting to be another California except we have the heat. Cant wait to move out of the Phoenix area.

We also have licensed and unlicensed concealed carry. Rule of thumb pull a gun in self defence shoot to kill. You maybe cleared of wrong doing in criminal court but held liable in civil court. A bit of clarification on the "stupid driver" law. The flooded road must be barricaded or otherwise marked as flooded/do not pass, in order to be charged, so if you try to drive across a flooded wash, if its not marked, its not illegal.

Originally from the Midwest I was surprised when I lived in Arizona that a piece of property containing a wash it is a given that the property owner owns the wash. Now I do realize that washes are normally dry most of the year and that is most likely the reason. At least until the Monsoon Season when they flood. In the Midwest (at least in Indiana) a creek or other waterway is considered a Public Use area and does not belong to the property where that creek is located. At least that is how it was when I lived in AZ. Thanks for the interesting video. JRS

If you find a DOWNED saguaro, is it legal to take it? (It's not growing anymore). If it's not legal, so be it. It's not worth 25 years I'm no expert on either topic, but could a broken saguaro be replanted in the same way as a piece of ordinary cactus and have it survive? Just curious.

Landed in Pheonix. Bought a pack of smokes by the park and ride. Asked a person if there was a public smoking law. No smoking within 100 feet of an open window. 2 sheriffs watched me as I smoked and threw the butt in a cigarette ash can. Mean, no nonsense facial expressions on both.

You can get rid of cactus on private property, even the saguaro.

Great video, except if you shoot someone with your gun it’s is taught that you only shoot them when your intent is to kill them. It also lowers the chance of lawsuits against you.

It is possible to have a cactus moved by a permit holder, or to obtain a permit to move a cactus. Though, there are stipulations and limitations. For saguaro cactus specifically. If the cactus was propagated by humans, no permit is needed. Also, the removal of cactus remains, though not encouraged is not illegal, again with permission of the land owner. Also, a permit to move a saguaro is only necessary if it is taller than 4 feet. P.s. all land in Arizona is owned. Either by the government, tribal, private, etc.

You can put any amount of people in the bed of a pickup truck and travel down the road in Arizona and 19 other states.

Great video. On the driving in water law, it does say “…..and it is barricaded because of flooding”, so all those have to be in place to be charged for that. You didn’t mention it in the video.

Fireworks, for one I'm very glad they legalized them here in AZ. I was Active Duty Air Force stationed at DMAFB in Tucson and then the AZ Air National Guard (ANG) over at the Tucson Airport. I'm also big into guns, like most in AZ. The number 1 thing legalizing Fireworks in AZ did was stop most of the retarded from shooting their guns in the air. 2 Times a Year, the 162 FW ANG, gathers all personnel on the base and does a major walk covering the Guard section of the airport and some times a lot more. We use to pick up a lot of bullets on the Flight Line right after New Years and July 4th. Also you would hear about people getting hit by bullets during those holidays. That no longer happens. We do not find bullets on the flight line and you never hear about someone being hit from a falling bullet. As for the air burst or launched fireworks, they are legal to buy and fire off, except within the city Limits of Tucson and Phoenix. If they truly were illegal to launch, you would not be able to buy them at those roadside markets and one would not be able to order them and have then shipped to AZ. If they were illegal to sell or buy, Air Burst, the police would be raiding those those fire work stands where they sell them. I have bought the air burst ones here in Tucson from them just this last 4th of July, 2019.
