"Ship Wrek - Need It" uses a similar rhythm. They're not using chords but it's an interesting sound nonetheless.

Recovery by Rival consoles, is my favorite use of this effect, the dynamics and automations on the synth parameters make it feel so alive. Prism and Turing Alone both by The Flashbuld use this effect a bit more subtly, but it’s incredibly effective. Silence by Kidnap uses this effect in the second half of the song as well.

Rival Consoles uses exponential rhythms in songs like Recovery and Johannesburg!

Camo & Krooked used these type of rythm in "Overture". (Which is super unusual for Drum & Bass, but amazing)

Stromaes Track "L'enfer" features this Chord Trick as well. Pretty much the same sound as Odeszas "Last Goodbye" and it was released a month before the Odessa Track..Maybe they got inspired by it.

i perfectly even recreated the flume - spring drop part with samples chopped together and used the exponential midi to trigger the sound with the lfo tool. with this way you can put any sound in it. you can even enable pwr so you can vary the sound release indepentently on every note . but you need the same envelope like in the video to get that stringy sound

“Canblaster - Invoc Dolem” Para One, Modeselektor and probably Moderat are my favorite artists that all use this technique in some way or another. The LFO trigger is the one I have used for years, easily implemented in Ableton since 8!

I watched a few tutorials on this process and this by far was the most fun approach I found using the arp. I had initially thought of breaktweaker when I first heard it.

Nice vid, never thought of printing midi to a new track.

This is an new technique based off of an old one using a granulizer. Though, I've never seen it done this way, and I like the added control of not having to print the midi to audio, and then using a granulizer to get this effect. You can also use Stutter Edit 2 to do this as well, and you don't need to do anything other than set up the effect, route a midi channel to Stutter Edit itself, and trigger it via midi. But this way is also cool because you can have more control over the notes you want to play during the rhythmic buildup. This is definitely something I'm going to make a chain for and save, because it's super cool. If you also mix this with AU5's Chaos Saw video (he shows a really cool way to create beautiful chords with just 1 note using a few midi plugins in Ableton), then you've *really* got something crazy. Thank you for sharing this technique. There is going to be much fun had with this.
