This video goes through the calculation of deflection( Both horizontal and vertical) at a specific point using unit Load Method.
The Unit load method is based on the principle of Virtual work. Therefore, it is also called a deflection energy method. In this example of Unit load Method, shear and axial effects have not been considered in the evaluation of deflection. Only bending effects have been take into account.
