READ THIS! The numbers you are using as example for his time in Molde doesn't give the right picture. The reason why is that Molde is a selling club. They have to sell their best players to keep getting new ones in and to get the club to go around. Because of that he has had some seasons where he had lost his best players and that ofc affected the season result. Now, you don't have that situation in Man United, so he will never really be lacking good enough players. The point is, the numbers are lying, they are in fact much better if you take that to consideration. This season the team wasn't complete with the players he wanted until mid season and in the end the result was 18w 5d 7l 63 goals scored and 36 against. The tactic he seems to use alot is a 3 4 3 formation offensive and then he falls back to a 4 5 1 formation when they defend against very offensive teams and then back again to 3 4 3 as they attack. Have worked well for him so far. Sincerely a Molde supporter. Good luck with OGS, and we want him back after:)

I personally wouldnt have Lakaku up front. I think I'd rather have Rashford or Sanchez there. Lakaku needs to improve his form and especially his first touch I think before he can get an extended run in the team. You could also play Mata in the Pogba position and swap Pogba with Fred who isnt quite at the pace fitness wise. Unlike Mourinho Ole also likes youth so it will be good to see what Chong, Pereira, Gomez & Greenwood can do if given opportunities. It would also be good if we could get Fosu Mensah & Tuanzebe back off loan. I think Tuanzebe would be especially good in defence and having Fosu Mensah in the Matic\Fellaini position would also work I think. I dont think Ole will bring anyone in but it would be interesting to see if he ships any of the deadwood out thats been here far too long.

I have seen multiple video's like this one, but this one has what most others did not have: a Realistic tactical revieuw. With that I mean the video about a training from Molde guided by Solskjaer. Being attack-minded is one thing. Being able to get your message across to the players is another. Them being able to execute it on the pitch is yet another thing. I expect there'll be a bit of a lift, as there usually is when a sacked manager is replaced, but reality will soon hit... just as it did when Giggs replaced Moyes. I hope we see another level from these players, but I have to say I'll believe it when I see it. I haven't so far. It's all well and good telling a player to express himself, but when a player like Pogba (for example) loses focus during a game it's not going to disappear by saying express yourself. Likewise with someone like Rashford... is he going to become ice-cold in front of goal and not snatch at shots when he's told to shoot by Solskjaer? I'll believe it when I see it.

your formation might score loads of goals but it will certainly leak goals too,without defensive cover.You need a CDM,all the top 6 teams have good cdms and for good reason.Lots of fans are really underrating matic, he is defensive minded,sniffs out danger and puts out fires before they get out of hand.A combination of matic,herrea/fred, with an unleashed pogba will cause havoc for opposing teams

I am sorry, but I disagree completely with your assessment here and your tendency to castigate Mourinho at every turn. You say full backs have not shown proper width under Mourinho. It was in fact Mourinho who scouted and bought Dalot. He displayed width under Mourinho which is precisely why everyone rates him. It was Mourinho who gave Shaw back a lot of confidence. You say Mourinho did not trust Fred, but Fred has barely been six months at the club. Surely a player needs to acclimatize. See Bernado Silva at City. How many games did he start last season compared to this season. Let us not get carried away thinking that all the problems have gone cos Mourinho has been sacked. Its still the same players, many of whom only perform well under certain prescribed conditions. You think Baily is the best CB at the club, but for me, Smalling is the best CB at the club. He has been the most consistent , dependable of the lot. Smalling is actually what a lot of you think Bailly should be but isnt even that yet. Be cautiously optimistic about this new era but lets not pretend that it was all bad under Mourinho or that it will be all good under Solskjear. We still need to understand the thinking on the next full time coach. We need to know the thinking on the next DoF and this squad needs a major overhaul. Dont rest on your laurels because you've been thrown a Solskjear. Correct me if I am wrong, but didnt he get relegated with Cardiff. Sure it can happen but lets have some perspective.
