Thanks for doing this series, Jay. I am far ahead of where I am but I'm still gonna watch every one to make sure I didn't miss anything. I'm only a month in on game coding, but been doing C# for a while. I'm not good at coding games yet, and very good at blender, so considering taking 3D game kit and sweeping a big chunk out and adding in a ton of my own gameplay ideas and graphics for a fully functional game.

Let me ask this. Does the esc have the problem of pausing during the loading screen? I made my own pause menu for the 2d kit once for a college assignment but I couldn't figure out how to keep it from pausing the game on the loading screen.

I'd love to know how to make rocks like that. Should I make tileable textures or just one big texture? That's a lot of data?

Thanks for the video, I have some questions Which is the best way to set a game object from Maya? .fbx or .obj? Can you show a video of exporting Game Objects modelled in Maya without losing it's texture in the Unity?

Hi, well I think I already showed this a lot: You export an object as fbx, import it in unity. In Unity you have to extract the material (extract button) on import and drag the textures to the appropriate slots of the material.

Jayanam And sometimes my objects are transparent, like the man can go through it.( The mesh collider don't work I guess)

For a character you need a capsule collider and character controller.

I cant know which error it is, but open the project (source code) in Visual Studio or whatever IDE you use and compile the solution. Then you see the error and can post it here.

How do you replace the sample character with your own custom character?

Import your 3D Character, select the "Ellen" prefab, parent your imported 3D Character, line them up with Ellen, remove the Ellen model, rename this prefab, drag this new character into your prefabs folder. There is more that needs to be done to animate and what not but that will at least get you started.

not that importing the game kit already brings a shit tone of problems, after fixing these, hitting create for a new test level just doesnt do anything. i think unity just dont want me to learn this stuff
