Please note the Reverb mentioned at 12:32 is not the famous 2290 Delay but a Hall 224 reverb. We do correct ourselves later in the video! 😉 🤘

Man it's never been a better time to be a guitar player. When I first started playing 25 years ago there wasn't much at all to choose from. I had a Marshall Shredmaster into the front of my Trace Elliot and that was pretty much it. New players are really lucky to have such amazing gear available to them at this point.

A lot of circus only change one very small component which gets a lot of similar tones from completely different pedals at different price points it could become way more varied if people stop copying each other think of how many tube screamers choruses and vibrato sound the exact same and have a very similar components instead of trying to change and innovate

@@rickeymitchell8303 A lot! Of circus only, change one. Very small component, which gets? A lot of similar tones, from completely different pedals?!? At different price, points it could become. Way more. Varied if people stop copying each other think of. How many? Tube, screamers "CHORUS AND VIBRATO SOUND". The exact same and have a very similar. Components instead of trying! To change, and... Innovate!

this is absolutely 100% true. between the increasing quality in lower end guitars (squier, epiphone, lower end music man) and digital modelling for effects, as well as phenomenal instructional KZfaq channels, it's pretty good to be getting started right now.

I’ve got,the golden plus the starlight and they are phenomenal. Easy to work with and the sound is amazing. My own opinion is I tried to get with the big strymons and I ended up selling them as I couldn’t connect with them. These, straight out the box are so much fun and I will definitely be making up the set with the Astra. They are expensive but you get what you pay for and for me they do cut down a fair amount of space on my pedal board. Excellent stuff, great video

I listen to Andertons via my laptop, into my 100w amp, to my Bose studio monitors AND my Line 6 4x12 top cab. Sounds Glorious brothers. I have the amp set @ about 2 O'clock or 75% and the laptop at 25-30%. Edit: When Pete said to be quiet and nobody speak, I turned up the laptop to 40%,, I also turned on the powered Sub. Beautiful.

I am SOOO glad I listened to this with my IEMs, I could feel what Pete was saying about the thump with the plate reverb. I’m not even a guitar player and I L O V E how those puppies sound. So tasty yet classy and timeless. Not enough good things can be said about these new units, I ought to get my hands on one to hear it in person 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 As always great vid and PHENOMENAL playing by THE Danish Pete 🔥

I have a strymon blue sky and demand a clean reverb and never saw a need for another reverb pedal until now. "phenomenal" is the right descriptor.

2:43 that dive reminded me of the ending of Muse's - Isolated System. These pedals sound amazing though, the hall reverb especially reminds me of the reverb that was on Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah. I love that progression that Pete tends to play - the one around 14:27 - sounds so classy - amazing what comes out of his mouth is so different to what he plays haha! He's the best.

If UAD do a rack reverb or multi fx with the choice of algorithms and midi it'd be incredible. These sound great especially for a guitar pedal, most guitar reverbs don't really have that space and depth of plugins/digital rack reverbs.

Capt made the most important comment of the past 10,000 videos. You can't hear how spectacular it is on most playback devices and you might need FRFR monitors on stage for wet mix to hear it in a live setting. No doubt the top or at the top with the best we have available today, but we are working in the last 0.01% of audiophile distinction at this point. Great playing and sounds fellas.

As always, the playing here is on point! My one concern/ question is about the registering the pedal. Has UA said you can re-register them if you buy them second hand? If you can't then isn't there a chance that any second hand owners are going to be locked out of some features or updates? Just a thought...

These are the kind of pedals I would use if I was making a pedal board for a pro. Not being a pro I could never justify spending that much on a single effects box but I can understand where the value lies in them (just outside of my price range).

Whoever does the design work at ua is a genius. It would be cool if they made a special pedal that let you upload their plugins into it, and converts it to analog with their converters. I also want them to make a new thunderbolt iPad dock for the new iPad Pro. If they had a dock that was like the avid dock, but with a built in x4 or x8, with faders and knobs, it would be the perfect mobile recording rig. All in one console with a 120hz xdr touch display, faders, knobs, unison preamps, a bunch of inputs and outputs. The iPad Pro is just as powerful as a MacBook Pro or an iMac now so it’s literally having an entire in the box setup in one little dock. Plus it would probably look beautiful like everything else they make.

The more I hear the Golden, the more I think the strength of it is not the interface, but the algorithms, which are really some of the best sounding reverbs I’ve ever heard in a pedal. The choices of spring, plate, and hall, and the variants of each are really well-considered, and even though the Golden doesn’t offer the control and flexibility of something like the Boss RV-500, I think the Golden may well be worth the premium price, just because of the sheer quality of the sound, especially considering the footprint, compared to the RV-500 or the Strymon BigSky. For that price, however, I really wish they’d used metal jacks.

Really like these videos with Pete. They are decidedly less "metal metal" all the time. It's nice to hear tones for the rhythm guitarist rather than the lead all the time.

Sounds incredible. The best reverb I have ever heard, I don't think my playing is at a level that I will make use of a 500$ reverb pedal. That being said I do have a vertex steel string supreme and I feel the two would give the exact continuum sound... Idk when the only thing missing from my playing is reverb and not notes, I'll be buying one, love the look.
