I am British, I had heard of the UNDHR and that most that I know were against it, I didn't know a thing about what was in it until I reached the 3rd year of my university degree (mature student at age 36). This is a failure of my nation to educate the population on international issues and the rights that I have as a human being. Perhaps they see world peace and a future built on internationally agreed human rights as a threat to their sovereignty?
